To be honest, I always struggle with holiday floral arrangements. The classic red and green combinations are just not my favorites. But, I’ve found that something simple like magnolia leaves and bright red berries does the trick! And, with a little care they can last all season!

I’m always in awe of the creativity and innovation that goes into Christmas tree decorations every year. But, there’s something about having at least one tree that stays the same every year and looks exactly like the ones you had growing up. Our “tchotchke tree” (affectionately named as such by my husband) mimics my parent’s tree with the same tin star, red wooden beads, warm white lights and eclectic collection of ornaments from family, travel, or old arts and crafts projects. Decorating it is always a walk down memory lane… the perfect start to the holiday season!
