My walk of faith has taken me to so many wonderful places. I've also made valued friends all over the world. I'm very thankful.
For some reason, this walk has led me to challenge the narrative of what I've been told, versus what my eyes see and my ears hear. In almost every search I've been on, my intuition has been validated. This is especially true with the Bible. And with the world in general.
Sharing these thoughts from my recent trip to China, Vietnam, and Thailand.
1. I have friends all over the world. They are from different places than me, speak different languages than me, they look different than me. The universal truth I always uncover is that they are the exact same as me. We have the same worries, desires, and thoughts and dreams. I've yet (except in my home country) to meet one person that I thought bombing their life or possessions would help to elevate them. I haven't met anyone that wants to do that to me.
2. I've always been told that there are no churches in Asia. Since the building of the church originally started in this part of the world, I wondered how that was possible. So this trip, I made time to explore that. As I suspected, there are churches. Far more than I expected. It's not the mega church experience we have, but they are there. They are old, and beautiful. Treasures. That should give us all hope. And perhaps pause that we don't need to destroy people to make them look like us. Maybe they are fine just as they are.
