Don't do business with Corbett's auction in Denver!!!
I am hoping that people who are looking for an auction house that will treat them fairly will read this review first. I had done business with them for several months without problems and yes you typically get $0.10 on the dollar for what you turn in, and after 2 months of receiving no checks eye contacted them to ask what was going on. I was told by the first person that they disposed of everything that they couldn't sell. Alarming? Yep alarming. Then I proceeded to try and contact them for the next 4 months, and was either ignored for weeks on end and then someone return a phone call, I would try and return again, gave up and decided email was going to work, someone would sort of get back to me but between April and July there was sparse contact to find out where my merchandise went. I did talk to two people, after the first person said that they had thrown everything out that couldn't be sold, the next person said oh no We don't throw anything out it's all here. Then the next person says no we disposed of it. I wanted to speak to Todd who is the manager or owner, and that was a next couple of weeks to try and get a hold of him. He was dismissive, rude, uninterested and kept re-repeating the same sentence"We disposed of it."I kept asking him where did you dispose it to? Since you've removed several thousand dollars worth of merchandise and thrown it away or given it away I wanted to know where it went so that I could take a text right off if nothing else. He kept repeating the same stupid sentence that he disposed of it, refused to tell me where it went or what he did with it even after I press specifically did you throw it in the dumpster, did you give it away and where did it go? He refused. I intend on taking this to the media and letting them know how I was treated in the hopes that someone else will not bring things in to try and sell and if they can't sell they throw it out. That's what disposing it is Todd. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had and I have dealt with large auction houses like Christie's and Sotheby's and no way would anybody ever give you this kind of treatment. Seller beware!

They sell your stuff a cheaper prices , their stuff for big bucks . If they see something of value they will bid to keep it , Don't do business with them . I have proof how crooked they are . Stay away from this auction . Stay away ...

This is a pathetic auction house. They got virtually nothing for 3 paintings we consigned to them, including an early 19th Century Napoleonic watercolor - $7. A fourth did not sell, but they failed to respond to us SIX times when we attempted to contact them to pick it up. They 'donated' it without our permission therefore.
Do not trust them with anything.

I have given them my items and have called and emailed several times to inquire on the status of the sale with no response. I am quite disappointed as I use to enjoy buying things from them. I would not take anything to them again. Their lack of customer service and communication is terrible. Maybe this review will get me a call back.
