I can talk about botanical science all day, but let’s be honest… Lithops look like tiny little butt brains hanging out in white rocks.

Once you see it, you literally can’t unsee it.
The fact in the video is 100% real though. When they grow new leaves, they absorb and cannibalize their old ones for nutrients. Nature is weird.

When the head table calls for drama, you give it 32 feet of seamless, textured greens and hardy succulents. Designing on this scale without foam means every single piece is hand-placed to perfection. I am still completely obsessed with how this room came together!!

A little piece of my heart behind these 100% handcrafted collections.

After having my daughter, working with clay became my unexpected therapy and my anchor. I had never touched polymer clay before! In a season where everything felt loud and overwhelming, shaping these tiny details by hand became the exact grounding tool I needed to find a little quiet. Naptime became a creative time. They’re not perfect, but they sure are fun to make.

To anyone else trying to find their footing or navigate a heavy season right now, I hope you find your own soft space to breathe and create today. You aren’t alone. 🤍

This gorgeous variety is called a ‘Lily Pad’ Aeonium. Since they are monocarpic, meaning the flowering rosette dies after it blooms, they spend years building up energy for that one grand finale. Luckily, they grow in dense clusters, so the rest of the plant keeps thriving long after the show is over.
