Through the hustle and bustle my creativity got lost and I became stuck in a routine of creating items that I knew would sell and I could make quick.

I love routine and repetition but I love creating and trying new patterns more. Picking yarn colors for a project became overwhelming and I would grab the same ones I always use.

What makes my product different than the next are the color choices; it is the way I alter a pattern to get a different nose look; it is the creative freedom. We are all creative in our own way and I miss mine.

So here’s to finding the joy in picking yarn colors, being more intentional, and slow crocheting in the new year.

December has been CRAZY!

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have 3 store locations OR that something I created with my own hands would be gifted for a holiday.

I am so incredibly grateful for each person who supported me in any sort of way.
A huge thank you to and for giving my small business a place to have a home.

Honest question..how do you choose your music for your posts? Business or not what goes into choosing the song? Should it go with the post? Your current mood?

I go back and forth…usually choosing from the ‘trending’ category. Music makes me feel like me and thats why I always try and choose a song that is popular but also makes me happy.

Today is a song that my dad showed me and I can still picture his foot jamming to this song when he did show me. Does it match the content? Maybe not…but does this song AND project make me smile? Yes.

I really am unsure what took me so long to buy an pattern because I am truly obsessed.

Sometimes I get so frustrated with myself that I can’t work faster or get more finished in a day.

And then I slow down, and remember I am making all of this from one loonnggg piece of string. The whole point isn’t speed - it is comfort, it is healing for me and for whoever receives it. I am not a factory and this is all done by my two hands.

This is magic and it takes time. ✨
