This Chinoiserie screen was a crumbling mess of plaster. With it missing many of its stone and wooden inlayed figures and objects it was quite an endeavor just get it functional. The cosmetics were the fun part and we really enjoyed the opportunity to breathe a bit of life back into this glorious piece. In the end, one must simply accept the fact that literally no one will ever know just how much was done to these four panels. What do you all think of this style?

Handmade in the Dominican Republic. A cherished heirloom imbued with the memories of immigrant grandparents. The chair fell to pieces when it arrived but it left proud and upright. Nothing beats that natural color and that caning contrast is always real nice. Good for chillin or rockin babies. What would you use it for?

This one has to be among our all time favorites from years past. The size, the shape, the age, the mahogany. Mantled with an elaborate but still subtle carving and flourished with just the right amount of brass, this thing punched above its weight. It was broken in ways that merit meaningful and expert repair, which always lends to the fondness of the process. In this industry projects like this come and go like seasons but sometimes you get to hold lighting in a bottle until someone comes to take it back. Alas.

This Arabesque inlayed Chair and Table came in with dog chewed edges and broken components. The Owner was rightly concerned considering the extent of the damages. While we couldn't find the exact cuts and perfect matches for every different species of wood for the inlay, we feel the result matched the aesthetic of the original and it is likely that no one would ever notice but us.

Check out this stunning antique bombe chest we had the pleasure of restoring.

As you can see, this item came to us in very poor shape. We took the time and care needed to repair the delicate veneer and assure this lovely chest was returned to our customer in tip top condition.

Another transformation!

We were happy to have given this lovely lady her face back. (Scroll for before and afters)

This turn of the century Chinese piece was brought to us in poor condition and we are currently working away on the restoration process. Looking good so far.
