Sisters mini-vacation (plus the baby!) to our in the mountains to decorate for Christmas in full effect! ✨ The house is now ready for our holiday guests.

Fun fact: Most of these ornaments are from the Dollar Store! I ordered the plaid ribbon and large black, glitter bulbs on , but everything else on the tree is from the Dollar Store! The white faux fur tree skirt was a splurge from 🌲 I put berries and branches up top to try to give the tree a mountain vibe. Now time to pour some wine and enjoy the view.

Who is ready for a dramatic Before & After?! 👀 Swipe left to see the impact that paint & furniture placement can have on a room!

This was a home I recently sold for a client that needed some TLC before we listed. I helped my client with the remodel from designing it to managing the project, and then I staged it before putting it on the market.

Huge thanks to my contractor, Rise & Grind Construction (), for help getting this project done!! 🙌🏻 And Tami Good () who co-listed the home with me!

I did a thing and painted my guest bedroom accent wall BLACK! 🖤 Back this summer before my baby came, we shuffled around our bedrooms so that the baby could have his own room upstairs and we revamped the guest bedroom in the basement so my in-laws would have a place to stay. I’m loving how the black paint makes it cozy and makes all of the lighter furniture pop! Are you team bold paint or stay with neutrals?! Check out my stories to see the full transformation.

Hello friends! I have been pretty quiet here on my ‘Marlowe Lane’ social media this year because, well, life has been CRAZY BUSY! But in a good way! First and foremost, we added another little guy to our family clan and could not be happier! 🥰 Meet our newest addition —> Grayson David Jarrett!

And on top of growing a tiny human this year, fortunately my real estate business has been a full time career so I’ve been posting about Colorado real estate over on (feel free to follow me over there too!) But unfortunately that means I am no longer able to take on design clients. 😞

I still LOVE all things design and am going to try to start sharing a bunch of interior design photos I’ve been meaning to post over the last year but never got around to. I want to share these pictures of projects that I’ve been up to in the hopes it brings you “design” joy too or may inspire you in some way, even though I’m not able to personally help you with design projects. ❤️

Thanks to all of you for always following along on this account as it has evolved over the years. Crazy to think my sister and I started this little outlet as a design blog 10 years ago! Then it became a full time interior design and staging company, and now it is taking a back seat to other things but hopefully it will one day be back in a new and exciting form. Stay tuned friends! 💛

Before & After ✨ I have been hard at work over the last few weeks helping a real estate client do a remodel for a home we will be listing later this week. We did the staging today (the fun part!) and I can’t wait to share the professional photos soon! In the meantime, here is a little iPhone “before & after” of one of her baths that we remodeled.

We kept the original tub and had it re-glazed for $475! Way cheaper than replacing and it makes it brand new and white. The re-glazing lasts up to 15 years too! Vanity cabinet, toilet, mirror, light fixture, faucets, flooring and tile surround around the tub are all new. Paint is SW Agreeable Grey.

Huge shoutout to Richie Ceballes and Rise & Grind Construction for helping to get this done so quickly!! And to my amazing drywall contractor, Roger! All products are linked on .it and my website!

If 2020 taught us anything, it is that life is full of surprises...baby (boy) #3 coming this September! 🥰 I’ve have been a little quiet on Marlowe Lane intentionally these past few months, because on top of being pregnant, the Denver real estate market and focusing on my family is keeping me VERY busy (gratefully so!) While I am so sad to formally announce that we are not currently taking on any new clients for design or staging at this time, I do have hope that somewhere down the road we will be able to pivot this business into something bigger design-related. I will still be sharing design inspiration and updates as we do fun projects to our own house, and will also share the design projects I get to help with for my real estate clients. Just want to say thank you for continuing to follow along on this journey as Marlowe Lane evolves! ❤️

Wallpaper is all the rage right now (especially removable wallpaper like this one!) and while I agree that it is probably a trend, I’m glad I jumped on the bandwagon in this small bathroom! My mom jokes that this pattern is what we had in my house back in the 80’s but 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 It was just the amount of s***k and color I was looking for! I tried to push past some of my typical design boundaries since I tend to stay with neutrals in my own personal house, so I wanted to do something fun in the that would also coordinate with the wood trim and doors.

We covered up the original wallpaper, added bead board, replaced vanity, faucet, toilet, mirror and replaced/moved the lighting! They had a small pendant hanging from the ceiling but I had my electrician move to a normal centered vanity position. Little fixes went a long way to give this half bath a refresh. Swipe left for the “before” pics! And comment below if you’ve ever used wallpaper?! 👇 Hoping it really is as removable as they say when the day comes to update it! 😂

Excited to finally share the fireplace remodel 🥂 We did quite an overhaul in this room. We updated paint on walls and ceiling, removed built-ins, reframed and drywalled for new built-ins so that they would be symmetrical, added mantle and rock to the ceiling, replaced light fixtures, and updated furniture. Phew! Quite the project but totally worth the time and effort that went into it! We are now completely ready for our first guests to stay this coming weekend! 🎉

Big thanks to Rise & Grind construction (), Jenny & Blake Marvin () and Sammy Short Masons for helping me pull this room together!
