A Thank You from THE MARKET @ 806

As we begin counting down these last days of The Market at 806, I've found myself reflecting on what this little shop has truly meant.

To every customer who has walked through our doors 🚪 this past year - thank you.

From the bottom of my 💜 , and from every vendor who has called The Market at
806 home, thank you for supporting us, believing in us, shopping small, and loving what we created together.

Six months ago, I found out I had Stage IV cancer.

It was terrifying.

I worried about my business, my vendors, my employees, and everyone who depended on me.

What I never expected was what God was about to give me in return.

I thought I knew what friendship was. I was wrong.

My sister has always been my ride-or-die. If you hurt me, you've hurt her too.

One of us is probably coming after you! She has stood beside me every step of this journey. I love her so much 🩷

Then there's Richelle Bowman. She has been my friend, my guide, and someone I've admired for years. I want to serve like her, live like her and be so faithful! She helped build the foundation of this shop and has always told me exactly what I needed to hear.

Richelle’s Dixie Belle Paints will be available in Sulphur at the Old and Nu antique store.

After my first chemotherapy treatment, I told her
I'd lost my hair already 🤦‍♀️ Without missing a beat, she laughed and said, "Well, that's a good thing - you didn't brush it anyway!" I laughed harder than I had all day.

That's the
kind of friend everyone deserves.

Andrea Couch has become one of the greatest blessings of my life. She has shown
me what real friendship looks like. She doesn't wait to be asked - she simply shows
up. She has filled in at the shop, checked on me constantly, and when I've tried to
pay her, she simply says,

"Friends don't charge friends."

I honestly didn't know
people like that still existed.

Lynn Lavergne has faithfully checked on me, encouraged me, and shared her
incredible creativity.

Charlotte White has always been only a phone call away.

Kristen Vanslyke has always created a beautiful booth, and I have loved and admired
everything she has brought to The Market at 806.

Chel and David always stepped up and added such value to us.

Every vendor has helped make this place what it became.

And then there's my sweet Ali. She survived being trained by me for an entire year, which deserves an award! She has worked tirelessly, kept everything organized, loved our customers, and helped keep the shop running while I was away for treatments.

Between Allie, my sister, Andrea, and Richelle, they have carried this
business since February.

I also want to thank a few businesses that poured into me. 🏠Diane and everyone at
The Cottage Co-op in Sulphur - thank you for your friendship, your encouragement,
and for always being willing to share ideas. We've ordered together, talked through
things together, and I love y'all for that.

Big Stick Longbow has also poured into me. Kristen at the desk has been amazing
and helped guide me, along with Richelle. Thank you, thank you. These are beautiful places filled with beautiful people.

If you've never visited Big Stick Longbow or The Cottage Co-op in Sulphur, they are both must-see places.

And while you're at The Cottage Co-op, be sure to visit one of our very own vendors, Miss Lynn Lavergne.

Selling the building and closing this chapter was never part of my plan, but with every passing day my burden grows lighter. I'm grateful to finally focus on healing.

Success isn't measured by buildings or businesses. It's measured by the people who
stand beside you when life gets hard.

To every customer, every vendor, every prayer, every shared post, every hug, and
every smile - thank you.

There will never be another Market at 806.
We were one of a kind.
