The truth is, those terms can mean very different things depending on who is using them.
At Homestyle Candle Co., we prefer transparency over buzzwords.
Our candles and personal care products are made with thoughtfully selected, clean ingredients. We carefully choose ingredients that align with our values and avoid many of the ingredients customers commonly look to avoid.
Our home cleaning products are formulated with biodegradable surfactants and cleaning agents that are designed to break down more readily in the environment while still providing effective cleaning power.
What’s the difference between non-toxic and lower tox?
Non-toxic is formulated without chemicals known or suspected to cause acute poisoning, skin irritation, organ damage, or long-term health issues like cancer.
Lower tox recognizes that many products contain ingredients that serve an important purpose but are selected to reduce unnecessary exposure to harsher or more concerning ingredients when possible. Meaning they may be “cleanER” than alternatives, but not “clean”.
Rather than chasing trendy labels, we focus on:
• Clean, thoughtfully sourced ingredients
• Effective products that do exactly what they’re supposed to do
