🚧 What's Happening on the Job Site This Week: Beacon Edition 🚧

Big progress at Beacon! The framing phase is officially complete, and the project is moving into the next stage of construction. This week, our MEP trades will begin rough-ins, installing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems that will bring the space to life behind the walls.

Every phase gets us one step closer to the finished product. Stay tuned as The Beacon Des Moines continues to take shape!

🏡 Project Complete | Water Trail Rowhomes

We’re excited to celebrate the completion of Water Trail Rowhomes, a two-building residential community just minutes from downtown Des Moines!

Featuring 24 thoughtfully designed, rowhome-style units with 1- and 2-bedroom floor plans, this project brings a fresh approach to workforce housing. With private entrances, a residential feel, and layouts ranging from 582 to 1,245 SF, Water Trail Rowhomes offers a unique living experience tailored to the needs of the local community.

Our rowhome module concept continues to demonstrate how quality, adaptable housing can make a meaningful impact in growing communities.

🚨 NEW PROJECTS ALERT! 🚨

We’re excited to announce TWO new projects coming to Mason City, Iowa! 🎉

🏘️ Multifamily Rowhomes
Our team will be bringing a new multifamily community to life with a rowhome-style design, creating modern, comfortable spaces for future residents to call home.

🏢 Edward Jones Office Building
We’re also kicking off a new commercial project for Edward Jones, adding a dedicated office space to the Mason City community.

Two projects. One community. Lots of progress ahead! 🚧

Both projects are currently underway and are expected to wrap up in June 2027. We can’t wait to watch these spaces take shape and share the progress along the way!

The exterior is starting to take shape as the team works through the brick installation, bringing the building one step closer to its finished look. It’s always exciting to see those construction plans turn into something you can actually see... and this one is looking good! 👏

Building more than a space, we’re helping build a place for new beginnings. ❤️

SHYFT is proud to be working with The Beacon Des Moines, a Des Moines nonprofit dedicated to providing safe housing and supportive services for women rebuilding their lives after experiencing trauma, substance use, mental illness, domestic violence, or incarceration.

This project includes remodeling the existing building and adding new space to better support Beacon’s mission of empowering women in crisis to create positive, long-term change and break cycles of homelessness and criminal justice involvement.

We’re honored to be part of a project that will have an impact far beyond the walls of the building.

We’re excited to announce a new project coming to Des Moines, Iowa! 🏗️

Cottage Ave Rowhomes will bring a fresh mix of residential and commercial space to the community, featuring two restaurant-style tenant bays with five apartments above. 🏘️🍽️

With completion anticipated for May 2027, we’re looking forward to watching this project take shape from concept to completion.
