The Hunter’s Moon is almost here 🌕🍂
This year’s Hunter’s Moon peaks just after midnight on October 26. It’s the full moon that comes after the Harvest Moon, and historically, this time of year marked the shift from harvesting into preparing for the colder months ahead.
I love the symbolism behind this one. Fall is fully settling in, the days are getting shorter, everything outside is changing, and it feels like a natural time to think about what you want to hold onto and what you’re ready to leave behind before moving into a new season.
I wanted Hunter’s Moon to actually smell like being outside on one of those cold, damp October nights.
Rain-soaked woods, redwood, moss and cool earth 🌲
It’s earthy, woodsy, fresh and a little mysterious. Like wet leaves under your feet, mist in the trees and that smell the woods get after it rains.
Light it on the night of the Hunter’s Moon, get cozy, and maybe take a little time to reflect on what you want to bring with you into the season ahead. 🌕
