My baby dog got coupons! Since Luna’s diagnosis, I’ve been very aware of what food is going into her body. Her cardiologist made some recommendations for ingredients to look for and some to avoid. I’ve been so lucky for Luna’s whole life that I’ve been able to feed her whatever I find at the store, and she eats it happily. Now I have to pay a little more attention. And many of the foods that are better choices for her are literally more than I spend on feeding myself. I reached out to a few brands to ask for coupons, and one of my top choices Canidae Pet Food 🧡 got back to me right away with a lil discount.

My dog Luna is pretty famous for her snaggle toof. But she’s got some cute little teefies too.
She’s doing just great as far as I can tell. But I am very aware of her diagnosis. We will be going back to the cardiologist in a few weeks for another holter monitor session.

Taking Luna places she’s never been. Today, we stopped at Adesanya Brewery for a quick pint. I worked here for a short period, and I kinda really miss it. It just wasn’t working with my schedule anymore. She’s been loving the attention from everyone coming and going, and has shed all over several of them.
Her official diagnosis is ARVC, aka , aka . I’m finally at a point in her journey that I’m okay with saying it out loud. I don’t cry every time someone asks how she’s doing, but still more than half the time.
She’s my best baby dog, and I’m trying to be the best for her.

My favorite flowers will always be the ones bought from roadside stands. Or in this case, out of a five gallon bucket with two kiddos waving to all of the passing cars. Life and Luna

The last week has been intense. I don't have anywhere else to have a longer format update on what's going on, so here seemed like the best choice. On August 3 and 4, Luna, my nearly 10 year old Staffordshire mutt (who looks like Petey from the Little Rascals) collapsed on walks. She was completely unresponsive. After the second episode, I loaded her up into the car, and brought her to Veg Emergency Vet....

Here’s what I knit this week!
I’m really trying to be more active sharing stuff on here, and recently decided to start a little weekly posting series. I’m going to share all the projects I finish in a week. Because I knit a lot of tiny guys, I can crank out several of them in a day. Part of this week was taken over by Luna’s health scare, so I didn’t have much knitting time. She’s going to an animal cardiologist next week to figure things out. I also worked on the purple scrap blanket quite a bit. I could share that, but it’s all scrunched up on the needle and hard to photograph.
This upcoming week, I’ve got a busy work schedule, but looking forward to next Saturday for ! I should be there most of the day, DM me if you want to meet up! I have a couple small yarn hauls to share, so I should really get to that before then. I also need to get over to Crow’s Hold Vendor Market to get some new items on the shelves! I’ve thrifted some new treasures I can’t wait to share.

This is Luna. We are currently hanging out with the wonderful staff of VEG ER for Pets. Luna collapsed on a walk yesterday and again today, and I rushed her in as quick as I could. She seemed to mostly recover, got some monitoring and ultrasounds done, and then got excited about another dog moving around and half collapsed. This time, the vet and staff were all nearby, so they could run more tests while she was still chill.
No diagnosis right now, and we are still at Veg.

Hello from Crow’s Hold Vendor Market! I spent some time this afternoon filling my brand new shelf up with handmade and thrifted goodies. I wasn’t sure how much to bring, so I erred on the side of under filling the space. But I’ve got more to bring soon!
My space is located in the large back room on the main floor. If you see Sarah Coleman, I’m just to the left, on the other side of the partition wall. Soon, I’ll post a little video showing you how to get there from the front entrance!
After setting up, I also dropped off a full bag of supplies to Zig Zag Art Thrift. I’ve bought a couple bags of supplies from them, so naturally, I needed to help them refill their space!
If you are in Grand Rapids, check this place out. There’s a ton of vendors selling all sorts of things, from handmade to thrifted to art supplies to baked goods and so much more. It’s such a neat space!
