✨ Design Meets Dialogue at CCS ✨
We were honored to welcome renowned architect and designer Suchi Reddy to the College for Creative Studies for an intimate design conversation with our students.
In a thoughtful and inspiring exchange, Suchi shared her vision on spatial justice, neuroaesthetics, and the power of “form follows feeling.” Students asked insightful questions, exploring how design impacts our brains, bodies, and emotions—shaping how we heal, connect, and thrive in the spaces we inhabit.
Moments like these show the value of direct engagement between students and global design leaders—sparking curiosity, clarity, and purpose.

Thank you for inviting us to the first inaugural IIDA Ohio/Kentucky Student Conference! It was such a great opportunity to network with other students as well as leading industry professionals. Thank you to as well for supporting our students to be able to have these valuable experiences.

Our students had the experience of participating in a 4-hour design charette challenge within groups of interior design students from all across the Midwest, with CCS interiors student, Abigail Wiinamaki, bringing home the win with team 7!

We attended informative breakout sessions about personal branding and color trend, as well as the amazing opportunity to attend an expo with firms and manufacturers from across the country. We had the chance to tour two new projects completed by SHP architects that were very inspiring to us as designers.

Thank you again IIDA Ohio Kentucky and IIDA Michigan, as well as for making this invaluable experience possible for our students.
