The carpet house was given a number of bogus tickets last year for having a free jam sessions on our own property, the court fined us $550, in april of 2015 and put up a number of road blocks,which we are still fighting in court, every one can help by donating at johnscarpethouse.com

Here is how you can help the carpet house, attend some of the counsel meeting,and bring up the carpet house, when there is public comment, and bring your friends, to also comment, let them know how you feel, and try and contact the mayors office, where the hold up is, and express your feeling also , when counsel or the mayor has a meeting anywhere, talk about the carpet house blues jam, and dont be fooled by them saying we are working with the carpet house, because they are not...Big Pete.... please remember we must be pro active....

We need everyone to call the mayors office 313-224-3400, also counsel Pres. Brenda Jones 313-224-9587, also counsel pro tem Geo. Cushingberry 313-224-4535, and Mary Sheffield whose district we are in 313-224-4505, and vent about the closing down of our out doors blues jam on Frederick and St. Aubin, when we have been doing this for years, and have not had any problems, and to network these names and numbers to your friend, The city have come up with all types of rational to close us down, We were told a couple of years ago we did not have to have a permit,, since we own the properties, it was like having something in your own back yard, so for the last 2 years, no permit was taken out, now all of a sudden we have to have a permit, and entertainment license, and are not given time to obtain one, although, as soon as we knew about this we went and fill out the necessary paperwork...What is happening to us is a damn shame, perpetrated on us by the mayor office, and the police department. We need to have our voices heard, and to bombard our elected officials, with phone calls, because this is WRONG. now counsel is talking about taking a break until Sept. , they can make this happen before they leave so it is important that we stick together and have them pass a resolution or something so that we can re-open.
