A downloadable, printable 11-page PDF listing the sales by county is available for download at https://www.lebanonroute66.com/today_66/downloadable-printable-list-of-the-100-yard-sales-registered-for-this-fridays-and-saturdays-central/article_7706334d-37cd-44a3-915e-953784c8ea93.html
Based on those who registered for the event, Pulaski County has 53-yard sales. Laclede County has 43-yard sales, and Webster County has 3-yard sales.
Sellers are urged to post signs directing buyers to your sale, especially if youāre not on Route 66 itself. The more signs, and the bigger they are, the better, especially if shoppers are driving by at 55 mph. The biggest complaint each year is that the signs arenāt big enough.
The purpose of the Route 66 Yard Sale is to introduce more people to Historic Route 66, which attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world to Pulaski, Laclede and Webster counties each year. As you drive along The Mother Road, imagine that youāre traveling it with your grandparents in the late 1920s to the late 1950s, before I-44 and other interstate highways were built, when two-lane Route 66 was the main road from Chicago to Los Angeles. Look along the road at the remaining motels, restaurants and gas stations from that era, some restored, some abandoned and crumbling. Take photographs at some of the famous Route 66 attractions in each community.
The āCentral Missouri Route 66 Yard Sale: 100 Miles of Treasures on The Mother Roadā is sponsored by the Lebanon-Laclede County Route 66 Society, the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce, Pulaski County Tourism Bureau, and the Webster County Route 66 Initiative. The Pulaski County Tourism Bureau developed the interactive map. The Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce created the registration form and the master list of sales. The Lebanon-Laclede County Route 66 Society administered the "Route 66 Yardsaleā page and answered a myriad of questions since registration began.
