Now that I have everyone's attention with this whole moving-to-Texas thing... I have one last favor to ask.

A young man I'll call "C" is only 22 years old. Just over a year ago, he and his two younger siblings, "D" (15) and "S" (9) lost their single mother unexpectedly. Instead of walking away, C stepped up and took on the responsibility of raising his brother and sister.

As the new school year approaches, S has outgrown most of her clothes and needs an almost entirely new wardrobe, along with school supplies. Like so many families, they're doing everything they can—but they could really use a little help right now.

After a lot of prayer and family discussions, we've made the bittersweet decision to close The Copper Palette as our family prepares for an exciting new chapter and a move South.

To every customer, friend, and supporter who has trusted us over the years—thank you. Your orders, encouragement, and referrals have meant more than you'll ever know. The Copper Palette has been such a special part of our lives, and we're incredibly grateful for the relationships we've built along the way.
While one chapter is ending, another is just beginning...

As a small business owner, I know how truly heartbreaking this is. If you aren’t planning on heading to Medora this summer.. CHANGE YOUR PLANS! Medora is one of my favorite places on Earth. There is so much to do there. If you are planning on going… plan to go again and again 😍😍

We have A LOT of ground to make up from what might be our worst sales week ever in Medora. Unfortunately, we only have three months to secure a solid income. The 4th is always one of those holidays you can bank on (pun intended). Not this year. In fact, the complete opposite. 😔

HOWEVER, I refuse to have a pity party (trust me I’ve cried enough the last few days and felt pure frustration enough, I’m ready to let it go!). Now I will focus on what I can control and that’s sharing all of our beautiful products here that I typically wouldn’t have time to share. 🇺🇸

So if you’re wondering why Jordan is randomly posting all the items in her store, it’s because we’ve had little to no customers (not exaggerating) for the last week and she too has bills, a family, and all the things.

My heart aches for all the small businesses and vendors of Medora, it’s not just our shop.

But we’ll push thru, we always do! I cannot wait to see our regular customers and the customers that have supported our town year after year for decades. We need those people. We need OUR people.

Have a great 4th. I promise this too shall pass and we will finish the summer strong once our regulars come back. 🇺🇸

Okay okay… I know I’ve been a little MIA since closing the Villard studio… BUT I’ve been busy 💛

A big part of that has been volunteering with Furever Full — an amazing local organization helping families keep their pets fed and in their homes. Right now, shelters and rescues are overwhelmed and fosters are desperately needed. The more animals that end up in needing fosters, the higher probability of animals going hungry or worse.

On June 6th we’re hosting our first ever Flower Crawl in downtown Dickinson, and I would LOVE to see you there supporting this cause!
