Over the years, I had the privilege of doing quite a bit of work for Dolly Parton and her family, including several projects in her homes. It’s something I’ve always been proud to have been a small part of.

I don’t normally name-drop or talk publicly about the celebrities I’ve worked for. I’ve always respected their privacy, but with Dolly’s passing, I wanted to share a little and pay tribute to someone who was truly one of a kind.

There was a time she kept me so busy I used to joke that Dolly Parton was paying my bills. But more memorable than the work was having the opportunity to meet her.

She was kind, humble, down-to-earth and genuinely funny. For someone so famous and loved around the world, she had a way of making you feel like you were just talking to another person.

It was an honor to be trusted with work in her homes, but an even greater privilege to have met her. She brought a lot of light and goodness into this world, and it won’t be quite the same without her.

Rest easy, Dolly. You will be greatly missed.
