Rhode Island Oddities

First, thank you for a great weekend in Douglas, there’s lots more to come this weekend. I know I post a lot of local places and events among the old things I have for sale that’s because I love photography but more important, the places you visit and the people you get things from like this past week, are just as important as what you find. I grew up in the business of auctions, cleaning out mills and scrapyard trips with my dad and my uncle and my grandfather, so speaking for myself if I just had to pull things out of a box and figure out a price to make money, I would never be in the old stuff business I have everything from albums to zinc hardware for sale, but I don’t have for sale is non-American made reproduction items. I’ve got some exciting stuff coming up this week and remember, to my bed and breakfast friends, to my craft shop owners, my creators, I’ve got your stuff! Thanks for the support. Much more to come!

Some Rhode Island history I picked up from another dealer to add to my vintage Rhode Island collection, for those that don’t remember Rocky Hill State fair and flea markets was at the intersection of South County Trail and Division Rd east Greenwich, some of which is now New England Tech Tip Top was on Pawtucket avenue, now Angelica healthcare.

I can’t lie I went for the food but like every year, the amounts of of talented local people and cool finds is amazing! It might be a storefront in the village or some folding tables in somebody’s driveway, either way, the food is always good and helps out local places, all the vendors are awesome with some really beautiful stuff! I have to share this young lady playing on the street so she can stay in school💪🏻💪🏻 lots coming up this week in the antique business

Without a doubt, the Rhode Island building at the big E takes the first place ! It was not only a great day with my girlfriend and my family but we had a delicious number seven! Celery, salt, chopped onions, and yellow mustard Saugy Franks has been a part of my family for a long time, great food, a Rhode Island tradition and always a favorite for my daughter and I!

All of us here in Douglas enjoy Fall here, the location is perfect just over the Mass and RI Border close to Boston,Western Mass, Putnam and Providence but we have great management here, inventory must be fresh and updated, prices checked and a full cleaning goes on every week. If you like Antiques, that’s all I know if you like more modern things like video games those are available also. Visit every weekend 9 to 4 at 436 NE. Main St., Douglas mass😊
