"Lakeshore Trends" (A new shop)
Here are before and after pics of an antique Maple floor in a 140 year old building in downtown South Haven.
The floors were water damaged in places. Repairs and sanding were extensive, now they are restored and finished with 4 coats of commercial waterbased finish, which will provide many more years of use.
While it would have been a whole lot easier to install a prefinished floor over the top of this, there's nothing like "THE REAL THING".

This is a 14 year old home where a carpeted living room was situated between two areas of prefinished flooring.
The carpet was removed and replaced with new Maple flooring staggered into the existing prefinished, then sanded, stained and finished with a commercial waterbased matt finish.

Some cottage floors on Lake Macatawa from the early 1900's. Most of the floors are Antique Heart Pine (shown with oil sealer), with the exception of the kitchen having a 50+ year old Maple floor laid over top of the Pine(shown with a decorator stain, "Weathered Gray").
