A little velvet moment at one of Wrigleyville’s newest cocktail spots. ✨

Apothecary Cocktail Lounge is now open in Wrigleyville. We’re proud to see our custom velvet draperies featured in this beautifully layered cocktail lounge, designed by m o s s D e s i g n. The concept grew from their client’s background as a pharmacist and craft cocktail enthusiast, with historical pharmacy and apothecary imagery informing the design throughout.

The renovation revealed original Chicago Common brick inside and beneath the exterior faux-stone facade. The stone was removed, the brick was cleaned up, and a new storefront with folding windows was installed to open the lounge to the street.

Inside, Venetian plaster, steel, and botanical wallpaper carry the apothecary references throughout. The plaster at the back bar takes its shape from the bottles it holds, and a custom leather banquette creates a more relaxed place to sit and gather. Near the entrance, the Still Room offers an elegant space with velvety textures for chilling and taking in the street scene.
