Some of you have followed The Wired Bird for years, so you probably already know that travel has always been a huge part of my life.

Over the years, quite a few of you have asked me questions about my trips—where I stayed, how I found certain prices, which cruises I liked, how I planned things, and sometimes just, “Staci, how the heck did you find that?”

Well... I finally did something with all of that. ❤️

I became a travel advisor and created The Open Door Collective.

And I want to tell you a little bit about what it is, because it isn't about perfect Instagram vacations or convincing everybody to travel the same way.

It's for regular people.

People who desperately want to see the world but don't have anyone who wants to go with them.

Introverts who love traveling but need some quiet.

People who want the party and people who absolutely do NOT want the party.

People with big budgets, small budgets, and people who are trying to figure out what they can realistically do with the money they have.

People who are nervous.

People who have experienced some hard things.

And people who simply want to go somewhere wonderful.

I've also started writing a Journal on The Open Door Collective website. I'm writing about my own experiences—the good ones, the difficult ones, the things I've learned, and the things I wish someone had told me.

I've published my first few stories, and I'm really proud of them.

If you've ever thought, “I'd love to travel, but...” I hope you'll come read them.

This summer discover Tampa Bay’s rich history and culture. The Hernando County Public Library is now pleased to offer free museum passes with your library card. Stop by the library to pick up a pass and begin to explore our shared history.
