Starting from Friday afternoon Jan 24th 2025, check out the above video link to Texas Today, Channel 5 NBC and injoy this interview from Terri (T) (Paper Arts Stella Mae Creations).
Terri Thoman is not just a customer, but also my best friend for more than 30 years, and she is a WONDERFUL printmaker. Terri has shown her work in countless galleries, and shows, she has done 3 trips as a visiting artist at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice, Italy. Terri does block printing, intaglio, etching, chine colle, as well as Japanese style printing including Mokuhanga, reduction prints. If it is a style of printmaking, I bet Terri has tried it and done it.
She was asked to do a little something on her local television station for Valentine’s day. If you are curious about block printing have a watch. Terri is also the go to person for creating a steam roller event, and though she does a number in Texas, she is planning the 3rd annual steam roller event in Hot Springs.
This video is short and “goofy” but reminds us all that making art is fun, as it should be. And also to remind us that artists grace the earth with images that call on our humanness that engage us through the gamut of human emotions. (And by the way, her dress is from Hot Springs from our favorite dress shop Stella Mae’s, and yes, she does love possums!!!)
