MEET THE TEAM / Alex Worden

Alex is one of our interior designers and has spent the last six years creating homes that are as functional as they are beautiful. She loves thoughtful space planning, bold material selections, and using lighting to create spaces with depth, mood, and personality. Her goal is simple: design homes that feel uniquely tailored to the people who live in them.

She’s currently finishing her Bachelor of Applied Science in Interior Design at Weber State University and brings a strong background in residential remodeling to every project.

Outside of work, Alex is always up for an adventure. Whether she’s riding motorcycles, camping, climbing, cycling, or rolling out a yoga mat, she loves a good challenge. She also enjoys great music, spending time with friends and family, and has a goal of learning to fly airplanes someday.

We’re so glad she’s part of the A/Typical team!

This Sugar House condo may have started as a builder-grade space, but with a few thoughtful updates, it became something that feels uniquely personal.

From bold wallpaper and warm finishes to carefully selected hardware, every material played a role in transforming the kitchen, living room, and powder bath. Sometimes it’s the smallest details that make the biggest impact—and we’re always grateful for clients who trust us enough to step outside the box.

One of our favorite spaces in this home. The butterfly wallpaper adds just the right amount of playfulness, while the custom walnut millwork and terrazzo flooring keep the design grounded in the home’s original mid-century character. It’s bold without feeling overdone.
