so if variety is the spice of life ~ i’m golden as we get to work on so many fab & fun things and it never gets old! (and yes, you can swipe for a little peek at the before too ;)

so here’s a little peek at a recent full first-floor refresh in a very “good bones home” ~ and also a little insight into what keeps us going every day. I mean, it’s the people isn’t it! Setting the scene for all that good family-life stuff and we’re so chuffed to get to be a little part of it.

This lovely family raised their children in this home and now, as young grandparents, they have all the joy, excitement (& crazy!) of everyone coming back together. But the house was ready for a fresh vision, a little extra love & some updates to carry it into the next generation ~ and lucky for us, our fab team & trade team we got to do just that ✨

i cannot wait to share more of this lovely home… but you’re going to have to wait a smidge while I dig through all the pics 🤦🏻‍♀️ As you know, we rather love doing the doing and the photos sometimes take a little longer to make it out into the world, ha ha!

kinda chic ~ to have clients who trust us ✨
(yes jumping on the kind chic trend, but read on for the full story…)

this family room is all ready for our client’s daughter’s wedding and this morning, while texting to ask if it was OK to share these pics, I got this back…

“…it’s been the best!! I trust you explicitly and truly love being around you!! Thank YOU for everything!!”

well… yes needless to say a few happy tears were shed by me

i’m not sharing this to be braggy (truth is i had a tough time reconciling even sharing this) ~ but honestly it just made me stop for a minute and feel incredibly proud that, in our little corner of the world, we get to have an impact on how people actually live in their homes.

from an everyday morning coffee to having the whole family gathered for a very special wedding day… what we do is incredibly personal, and trust really is the secret ingredient.

we first started working with these lovely clients back in 2024. Three bathrooms, all the bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room and living room later… here we are.

So yes, I occasionally shed a happy tear. Yes, it’s kinda magic that people trust us with their homes. (and yes, it can be completely knackering and all-consuming at times 😂)

BUT I absolutely love that we get to do this ❤️

I’ve shared individual parts of this lovely clients home project before, but ta -da especially for you today as I’m coming at you live from Portugal I’m sharing the full reveal (because I’m poolside and I actually had a little time to gather all the pics 😉

so swiperoo for before and afters to get the whole feel & you can see how we added the oomph & personality that this wonderful family needed, all with a big helping of function and flow!

Crikey - today it is 9 years exactly since I made the leap and said I’m going to set up my own business & I confess I’m a smidge emotional about the whole thing & also rather chuffed to bits! So go on take a peek through 9 photos to show a little of our journey…

I could babble on, but truly I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. It is such a privilege that people let us into their homes and lives, every home and every client has a story and we are truly honoured with the trust our fabulous clients put in us.

This is also a shout out to our IBC team, 9 years ago it was just me, a passion to help people bring their homes to life and a side helping of creative vision! Now I get to work alongside 3 amazing women (whoever said don’t work with friends is wrong !) and we are backed with THE very best trades who make it all happen!

And last but not least a huge thank you to my family & friends - truly without their unending support IBC would not be where it is today. Starting a business is not exactly for the faint of heart, it can be pretty darn hard graft, long hours, your mind being constantly overstimulated (with lot of tabs open!) and never really taking a break. Alongside countless pleas for help - such as “can you please bring my child home, I’m still in a meeting…” to the kids being old enough to drive and then it’s “please deliver this too….”

So thank you , thank you for being here, thank you for following along, thank you for your support and a great big loud cheers to the next 9 - cannot wait to see where it takes us!

sneaky peekeroo ~ just stumbled on this recent beauty & couldn’t resist sharing.

my camera roll is jammers packed and honestly an absolute disaster, so tomorrow when I’m heading “home”, my goal when sitting on the long flight back is to sort through my camera roll - wish me luck people!

And on a side note In fact if anyone wants to pop over and get my packing started please do!

You may have heard of the pantry, the scullery, the dirty pantry & even the classic laundry room- but we think this one deserves a whole new word of its very own and even has a hidden beverage fridge - so cheers to getting that laundry done! ✨
