The Segway Xaber 300 might be one of the most advanced electric dirt bikes we've had the chance to check out so far. Coming from Segway, we expected a high level of technology for sure, but one area that doesn't get talked about enough in the eMoto world is the software experience, and this is where the Xaber 300 really stands out.

The app interface is impressively polished. Connectivity is fast, the user experience is intuitive, and it feels comparable to what you'd expect from major automotive brands. It connects quickly, responds immediately, and delivers the functionality you actually want without unnecessary complications. You will know exactly where the Xaber is and if anyone touched or tries to move it, the built in security will alert you via push notification.

One of the standout features is the throttle tuning. Riders can easily adjust power delivery to match their riding style, terrain, or track conditions, then save multiple tune profiles for different situations. Whether you're riding technical trails, motocross tracks, or open terrain, it's easy to tailor the bike's behavior to your ride style, all within the APP. If you're coming from the traditional gas dirt bikes, but is new to riding an electric dirt bikem no problem. The Xaber has a clutch simulation that would allow you to get familiar with it first. 150cc and 250cc powerband tunes are also pre-loaded on there.

While some settings require a few extra taps to navigate through the menus, it's something that becomes easier as you get familiar with the app and controls.

And yes, this thing loves to wheelie and it does so effortlessly! For riders still learning, Segway incorporated a Wheelie Control mode that allows you to set the maximum wheelie angle based on your comfort level. It's a clever feature that lets riders focus on improving their skills without constantly worrying about looping the bike.

Overall, our first impressions are very positive. The fit and finish are excellent, the power is definitely there, and the app integration is genuinely a game changer in the eMoto space.

When we first started hosting the Super Friday party over 10 years ago, we wanted to provide a chill landing sport for everyone traveling in to kick off the Super Sunday weekend. Soon, the party got too big and our neighbors weren't having it, imagine having a few hundred people showing up in the neighborhood haha. We didn't expect it to evolve to that level and we had to make the hard choice to find a venue that was willing to work with us and also be chill enough to allow us to do what we always do. We needed a venue that could handle the crowd while keeping that original "Kik Bak" soul alive: small bore talk, cold brews, new friends, puff puff pass, good music, and family-friendly vibes. A massive thank you to for stepping up. They’ve given the mini moto community a home to take this event to the next level without losing what makes it special.

We've always welcomed everyone that was down to have a good time and we appreciate everyone that came through, whether you rode up, brought your motos for display, or just came to hang out, thank you for making the small bore / mini moto community what it is. It’s shaping up to be a perfect mid-70s weekend for the Super Friday Kik Bak and the Super Sabado Ride, we’re all looking forward to an awesome time!

For those asking, the Kik Bak is FREE for spectators and visitors and open for everyone to enjoy. For guests 21+, please support and enjoy responsibly.

Huge thanks to everyone who submitted their mini motos and scooters for the Kik Bak show. We’d love to accept more bikes, but space at Mt. Lowe is limited. It’s still going to be a great turnout, come hang out, check out the hard work from fellow enthusiasts, visit the exhibitors, and enjoy the music and Kik Bak vibe!

There are some changes to (Super Sábado)—it will now take place the following day (April 25). Please see the previous post or slides for details and plan accordingly. Many thanks to the organizers for putting this together!

The Kik Bak is a family-friendly environment, and future riders are more than welcome to join. WTF! What The Fork!
Ever wonder when and why a part was created? Nothing just appears out of thin air- there’s always a lot of time, effort, and resources behind it. Let us know if you enjoy content like this. We’re thinking about starting an “Origin Stories” series every other Thursday, here’s Part 1.

The Honda Ruckus Low Down front forks were developed back in 2011. At the time, when Kevin was with , the crew were running rigid front setups to achieve the lowest possible ride height. While that look was in high demand, it wasn’t practical for everyone, especially for those not experienced with riding lowered bikes. To help improve rideability, we would lower front tire pressure to compensate, which made a noticeable difference.

Wanting a better solution, Standard Functions teamed up with Yimmy from ATR (All That Ruckus, for the old school Ruckus riders who remember). Yimmy handled the R&D specs for manufacturing (ATR, later Feign and RRGS), and together they developed the Low Down forks. If you notice, the overall length of the Low Down forks is the same as a stock fork with no springs. This achieved the ideal stance while the shorter fork body allowed for about 1.75” of suspension travel.

Little did we know, what started as a solution for the Ruckus community, ended up influencing the scene, eventually leading other brands such as NCY to develop their own low down/slammed forks. Big credit to the SF and ATR back around 2009 for helping shift the direction of the culture.
