YAY! After being hacked repeatedly, THE LUCKY FIND page is back UP AND RUNNING!!!!

2025 is going to be a project-packed year and we will be all over the place! THE LUCKY FIND will have booth spaces in Stephenville, Granbury, Benbrook, Ft Worth, and Brownwood antique malls! We are working hard to get out there and give ya those vintage goods!

Our Dublin storefront will continue to be (for now), our central work hub and online sales processing center.

We JUST set up our first wall space at 377 Marketplace in Stephenville. GO CHECK IT OUT! C-45. Vintage Christmas will be coming very soon!

2025 looks better than ever!

Boy, how time flies!!!

Unfortunately, the back end of the roof on the building next to me bit the dust today. The CRACK and BOOM is still ringing in my ears a couple of hours later. (It was completely empty and no one was hurt, thankfully)... although dust is still setting in my eyeballs, and I definitely needed a new pair of shorts afterwards!!!
Also unfortunate is that we share an interior rock wall - cracks are growing ever more present and plaster has fallen in some spots. Im sure that the structural integrity of the wall is fine. ... But just thinking of the hours I spent scraping old paint layers on a 16 ft wall to get just the right "old world" look is a little disheartening I'll admit.
Still, forward we go...

I was lucky enough to run across this Dublin newspaper from 1977 in my store. There are two noteworthy events mentioned on the front page.

One being the fire that destroyed the downtown corner lot businesses that week, and the other stating the expected turnout for the upcoming annual St Patrick's Day celebration in Dublin.
There's a lot of good people working really hard to ramp up efforts in bringing back the crowds to Dublin during St. Patrick's. It's really fun to see the interest returning to this holiday in our town. We had a great turn out this year and it just continues to grow.

(Side note to self: it's mid-April now, take down your store decorations :) )

* And we must also thank the Corner Lot gang for their continual upkeep and maintenance downtown. I noticed the huge gazebo has been refurbished and is looking great. Flowers are everywhere and we even spotted a golden retriever lapping up a bit of water from the fountain ;)

In memory of our dad, we here at The Lucky Find will be dedicating an entire booth space in the store to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

100% of all proceeds will be donated to St. Jude's for the incredible and honorable work that they do!
Once the store is open, we will gladly take donation items to be sold in the booth, as well. (perhaps in memory or in honor of your loved one)

Today would've been our dad's 84th birthday. His younger sister, Carolyn, passed at the age of 6 with a brain tumor. It was no doubt a formative event in his young life, and he always admired St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital for their dedication to improving and extending the lives of those living with childhood cancers.

St Patrick's 2023. did anyone spot our wee little float this year? It was a GREAT parade with tons of people in attendance. Lots going on today.
