After a great deal of reflection, I’ve made the decision that Trading Places will not be reopening under my ownership.

For 17 years, this business has been so much more than a store. It’s been filled with incredible customers, consignors, employees, friendships, and memories I’ll always cherish.

While this chapter is coming to a close for me, I truly believe Trading Places still has an incredible future.

Trading Places is officially for sale, and I’m searching for the right person to carry its legacy forward. With a trusted brand, loyal community, proven systems, and room to grow, it’s an amazing opportunity for someone ready to make it their own.

After a great deal of reflection and soul-searching, I have made the decision that Trading Places will not be relocating or reopening a new storefront under my ownership.

This was not a decision I made lightly.

For 17 years, Trading Places has been far more than a business to me. I built it from the ground up, watched it grow and formed relationships with so many wonderful customers, consignors, employees and community partners. The business has been part of my life through many personal highs and lows, and I will always be grateful for every memory, lesson and connection.

As I considered the next chapter of the business and my own life, I realized that I am ready to hand the torch to someone new.

Today was the day. Taking down the Trading Places sign hit hard.

We’ve been preparing for this day, but watching the sign come down was different. Lots of tears and a reminder of just how much this place means to so many people.
