Interior Design + Shop Inspired by the Minnesota Northwoods It is my opinion, that your home can serve as your greatest act of self care.

While, I love a beautiful space, I believe the most important thing about our home is the feeling it creates. I think that your home should be a sanctuary from this busy, chaotic, and sometimes scary world that we live in. This is the exact reason why I have brought to life The Altered Abode. My purpose here is to create spaces that inspire others.

Quite possibly the best purchase I’ve ever made!

Love, love that this projector is portable so I can watch movies from anywhere (including my tub) 🛁

And can I just say, watching the bathtub scene in Pretty Woman from the bathtub, iconic! 👌

Alright, we’re back with Volume 3 of The 5 Things I’m Loving this Week (as an Interior Designer)

This week’s list is filled with a little of this, a little of that.

A couple of things I have my eye on for some projects around my own house, an item I use time and time again for client projects, and one item I’m dreaming of the perfect client project to include it in.

👇🏼 Things we did in this bathroom design that just make sense

Bumped out a wall so that we could fit a larger vanity with a double sink. 🔨

Added more storage and organization into the bathroom closet, which is now smaller but more functional due to the wall bump.

Installed marble hexagon tile in the shower to tie in with the larger scale hexagon tile on the floor.

Installed a rain shower 🚿

Included an inset shelf for shower products and a similarly tiled inset footrest.

Sourced a one of a kind vintage rug to make the space feel warm and a bit more collected.

The big plant sale is happening now 🪴

All plants are healthy + come potted in a well-draining pot made from recycled materials.

Claim yours by sending a message + pick up in-store during a few designated pickup hours.

We will be at the shop Wednesday from 1pm - 5pm and back Saturday from 11am-2pm. There will be a couple more options next week.

Come in, pick up your plant, and shop the rest of our planters, propagation stations, and remaining inventory at a BIG discount!
