Back from Spring Market and jumped right into design presentations and material selections.

Our clients have been LOVING wood cabinet options. Today, natural hickory was selected for perimeter cabinets with a soft black for the island.

Hickory isn’t for the faint of heart. Before anyone commits to this wood species, a long discussion will take place. Although it’s extremely durable it is also very dramatic. There is a high color variation. A single door can feature many colors ranging from nearly white/blonde to a dark brown chocolate. It has a very rugged grain pattern - It can be straight, It can be wavy and irregular. Hickory can have small knots, pinholes and mineral streaks. These are all considered normal and are not a defect.

Excited for the client to make final design decisions with the layout and start the estimating process for the project.

is an appointment based design service. This gives flexibility to meet with clients in the evening or the weekend, at their place or mine.

I might not always be at the showroom, but I can guarantee you I’m working somewhere - most likely in the home of a client.
