There’s something special about a sanctuary that feels renewed.

We had the privilege of refreshing the upholstery during a full renovation of this church at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Creedmoor, NC. The transformation is remarkable — same sacred space, brand-new warmth and comfort. It really does look like a different church.

Thankful for the trust and for the chance to contribute to a place that means so much to the community!

✨ Another Beautiful Church Transformation by Sharpe’s Church Interiors! ✨

First Global Methodist Church of Mission, Texas selected Sharpe’s Church Interiors and Project Manager Sheila Bladen to help give their sanctuary a beautiful uplift—and what a transformation!

Initially, the church was considering reupholstering their existing pews. However, after evaluating the shape and condition of the pews, they decided that new pews were the best choice for their sanctuary. The finished result is absolutely beautiful and gives the space a fresh, updated look while maintaining the traditional warmth of the sanctuary.

The balcony presented a unique challenge. Because the existing pews were built directly into the balcony, removing them would have required extensive construction. Instead, the church chose to install new carpet while keeping the pews in place.

That meant our carpet installation team had to carefully work between and around the tightly spaced pews, while also ensuring the balcony carpet coordinated beautifully with the new carpet in the sanctuary. It was challenging work, but our team put in the extra effort—and the results speak for themselves!

Projects like this are a great example of how experience, craftsmanship, and creative problem-solving can make a difference.

During our quarterly sales meeting yesterday, President Bryan Sharpe had the pleasure of announcing Sheila as our Q2 Top Sales winner — and this one is extra special because Sheila is Bryan’s mother! ❤️

Sheila joined the Sharpe’s Church Interiors family in 2020, originally working in the office. It wasn’t long before she discovered a love for sales and, more importantly, a passion for working directly with churches. Since making the move into sales, Sheila has consistently been one of our top sales generators.

She especially enjoys helping churches bring their vision to life by selecting the perfect upholstery, carpet, and interior finishes to enhance their worship spaces. Can we just say... WOW! 🤩

What an incredible transformation at Brush Creek Baptist Church in Summersville, KY!

It all started with a custom design package created by our Project Manager, Melanie Tull, who helped the church envision a beautiful stage upgrade and select colors and finishes that completely transformed the sanctuary into a warm, inviting place of worship.

Melanie's design recommendations included:
✨ Culp Connelly Owl upholstery fabric
✨ Philadelphia Intermingle Flux carpet
✨ Brentwood Tile Granite luxury vinyl tile (LVT)

Our experienced teams then brought the vision to life by:

The beautiful First Assembly Church in Searcy, Arkansas made a change that brought even more beauty and comfort to its congregation.

This large project included upholstering 108 pews throughout the sanctuary, balcony, and chapel. The church updated their fabric to better enhance the carpet, overall feel, and lighting of the space. They also added foam and upholstery to the backs of pews that previously had seat-only upholstery.

When our crew arrived, they discovered that the 2-inch foam was not sufficient for the sanctuary pews. Instead of settling for a result that may not provide lasting comfort or quality, our team went the extra mile and ordered an additional layer of foam to ensure the pews were done right.

From outdated and mismatched to magnificent! ✨
Take a look at the incredible transformation at First Baptist Church in Forest City!

Before our team arrived, the church had already begun refreshing the sanctuary by repainting the pews. Once the existing upholstery was removed, Team Leader Mike Snow recognized that the project would look even more cohesive if the pews were fully repainted in the areas hidden beneath the old fabric as well.

Rather than rushing the process, Mike made the decision to pause installation and give the church an extra day to complete the painting properly. Our team returned the following day to install the new upholstery — and the result was absolutely stunning.

This project is a perfect example of the care, craftsmanship, and teamwork that go into every sanctuary we serve. We’re honored to help churches create beautiful worship spaces that will serve their congregations for years to come. 🙌
