Handmade crocheted and knitted items!

Well, I sewed a bag! It even has a lining! Skills I practiced:
- cutting out a pattern
- edgestich
- pleating (definitely needs work 😬)

I already used it for an errands run today and it fit a ton of items!

It’s honestly a crime that these gorgeous fabrics have sat in my closet for so long. I bought them from a market in Arua, Uganda when I lived there for several months for a graduate school internship. I always knew I wanted to sew someday. So it was never a matter of IF but WHEN.

What would you do with these? 😍

Exciting news - my grandma gave me her old Husqvarna Viking (it’s gotta be at least 30 years old!)

I took it to a sewing store today and they tested it out for me - it seems good to go… for now. So follow along as I use this beautiful old beast and try my hand at sewing, with all of my spare time 🤣🙃
