I got rather wet trying to get photos of the bouquets on Saturday! Thankfully the rain cleared and it turned into a great day.
Only one decor photo to share. It's still way too hot to put things outside when we are there much earlier in the day.
But this half moon arch at The Urban Daisy was a doozy to decorate!
Congratulations to Kirsten, Olivia and Kelly and their new hubbies!

I got so into my work this week I nearly forgot to post from last weekend.
We began at Hidden Greens in Hastings! A lime green and white theme for Darby & Greta with the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen in black. Really great contrast!
Then onto Little Log House Pioneer Village, also in Hastings, for Hailey and Ryan. VERY organic bouquet, corsages and boutonnière with the main flower being fresh lavender! A very different vibe than I usually do. Super cool!
Sunday brought us to The "Calhoun" Beach Club. This wedding was so special to me. This is the 3rd wedding I've done for this family. I did Esme's wedding many years ago and she has been one of my strongest supporter ever since. She brought me her daughter, and now her niece. Thank you so much Esme, you are a treasure! Congratulations to Nicole and Max!!

A Thursday wedding and 2 Saturday weddings last week!
Thursday was at Glenhaven Events in Farmington and I forgot to take a photo of the centerpieces. Sunflowers were everywhere.
Saturday #1 went to Brackett's Crossing with the extremely popular blue and white theme, but the bouquets were totally the wildflower look!!
Saturday #2 took me all over the place. Friday night rehearsal dinner at Lord Fletcher's, then Pique Travel and Events in Excelsior to begin set-up, then to the church in downtown Minneapolis, then back to Excelsior to finish! Dang that was a lot of driving!

Oh my goodness, the last two weeks have been a blur! 7 weddings and one funeral.
Light blue is definitely the "It" color this summer. Sage green comes in second. Not a lot of flowers come in those colors, so the use of hydrangea and delphinium are in high demand.
But then there's something to be said for just the clean and classic look of all white. 2 brides this past weekend had nearly identical bouquets. One loved baby's breath, the other did not. And the one that didn't had 10 bridesmaids!! That's a lot of ladies to wrangle in one place getting ready.
And then there are the brides that are loving tons of color in their bouquets that scream beautiful summer.

When one of your dearest friends asks you to do something special for their mother's funeral.
You were one of a kind, Bertie! You will be deeply missed and cherished by so many.

Last week was a doozy! And the high heat later in the week was horrible. Needless to say no florals for outside could be put out until right before the ceremony, so no photos, unfortunately.

The week began with a funeral for a dear friend. If you are familiar with the St. Paul Winter Carnival and the Vulcans, the bouquet will make total sense to you.

Moving on to Friday with a wedding at a church and reception at The Chart House, and a 50th Anniversary party.

Saturday brought a wedding ceremony at a church and reception at the Wayzata Country Club. I had never been there before. Very posh!! Maggie wanted petite bouquets and said, "think Princess Catherine". She was all about hydrangea for her decor. There is this fun trend of having pots of hydrangea with the table assignments tucked in.

Sunday was and Indian wedding! The traditional ceremony was off site but I got to see everyone dressed in their Indian attire and it was unbelievable! Afterwards they came back to Bavaria Downs Edward Anne Estate for the American ceremony and reception.
Traditional red and pink flowers, with a little white.

Rest in Peace, Mark. You were a really special man.
Thank you to Carly, Heidi, Maggie and Shireen for allowing me to share in your special days.

Bring on the heat!
Friday wasn't too bad, but yesterday we didn't put anything outside until closer to the ceremony time.
Friday's venue was Hidden Greens in Hastings. The ceremony at this lovely spot in the woods kept everyone cool. Megan and Eddie's blue and white color scheme was right on trend for this summer.
Saturday Marina and Nathan were at Brackett's Crossing in Lakeville
Her dad made this amazing cross! You will see this little bouquet with the checked blue and white fabric. This was a surprise for her grandmother - the fabric came from one of her grandpa's sleeves! She served as her Flower Girl also and carried the bouquet down the aisle. The sentiment warmed my heart!

Goodness, it's been so busy lately I nearly forgot to share photos!
7 weddings in the last two weeks.
When it's hot out we can't hang outdoor pieces if they're in the sun because they'll just get fried by the time of the ceremony. So I took a photo of one on my floor! At Hidden Greens, their arch is in deep shade where the ceremony takes place so it's perfect for placing outdoor decor.

A gorgeous Saturday for weddings at Brackett's Crossing, Hastings Golf Club and a ceremony at The Chapel at The University of St. Thomas with the reception at Rush Creek Golf Club.
Golf clubs are easily the most popular sites for brides and grooms right now.
During the warm summer months it's hard to get decor photos when the ceremony is outside. It's much better to put those out closer to the ceremony time so they don't bake in the sun.

A big trend right now is for the wildflower look with very little greenery. Samantha and Jackie's bouquets were right on trend.
Laurie opted for the more loose look with all lavender and purple flowers.
I offer a signature centerpiece of 3 heads of hydrangea with or without baby's breath, and greenery for just $15.00. It's a way for couples to save some money and still have something really pretty on their tables without breaking the bank!
I did 32 of these last week! They are available in white, light blue and light green.

Congratulations to my 3 wonderful brides and their new hubbies!!

Abella, The Fountain Room at The Lumber Exchange Building and Brackett's Crossing Golf Club were the most recent wedding venues we delivered to.
It has been rather hot and I hate to put the arrangements out for an outside ceremony too soon. So I end up leaving them for the wedding coordinators to bring out closer to the start time.

Alaina at Abella was all about wonderful color in her formal cascade style bouquet. She rented such beautiful place settings in 3 different colors that the white hydrangeas were a simple touch for the tables.

Leslie at the Fountain Room said think boho! The neutrals in all the flowers were perfect with the color of the brick in the building. We did wood lanterns with candles and greenery down the aisle. This worked great for then using those lanterns as some of the centerpieces. And yes, I gave them fresh greenery to put on the tables, rather than re-using what was on the floor ;)

Peyton at Brackett's gave a bit of a citrus feel. Peonies, stock, roses, etc... gave a soft and romantic feel. They were so pretty against light eucalyptus green dresses.
