Still going strong in mid-October!
My Friday bride, Megan Ames, met her Groom in college... in AMES, Iowa!
What a fun story. Their wedding, at the Minneapolis Golf Club had lots of decor set-up details. That morning sure looked like is was going to be a rainy day, but it cleared out for the outdoor ceremony. Pay close attention to the greenery garland. That is called Nagi foliage and is so full and gorgeous.
Saturday brought us to The Wexford at Emerald Greens. All the golf courses are super popular for weddings! Although Madison and Robert were married in a church, this reception area is beautiful.
Congratulations to Megan and Logan & Madison and Robert. Cheers!!

I sure didn't think I would be turning my air conditioning on again in mid October. All my brides sure lucked out!
Glenhaven Events for Maddie, The large arrangements needed to go out to the ceremony closer to the ceremony. The Gardens of Castle Rock in Northifield for Jena, Micah had a church ceremony and the reception at Turtle's Social Center and Morgan was at Avalon, which is part of the James J. Hill Library.
Jena's cascade style bouquet is one of my favorites and Maddie had one of the funniest signs I've ever seen!

Happy October everyone, and it's busy, busy, busy!!
Saturday was glorious with crystal blue skies for Lauren and Tina.
Lauren gave me a bunch of amber glassware pieces to fill and they turned out really pretty.
Saturday was just spotty showers for Lynnsie and Kayla's weddings. Finally a day where I could put out the arch pieces without fear of them baking in the sun and heat.
From a formal cascade to boho chic, last weekend had all different styles.

Thursday, Friday AND Saturday weddings this week!
Not exactly the nicest weather. Some opted for moving inside. Others chose to gamble on trying to still have their ceremonies outside. At least it was cool enough weather to hang the arch pieces!
This first wedding is something I haven't done in a while. Bryar chose the flowers for her bouquet, then each Bridesmaid carried bouquets of just a single flower type from her bouquet. Super fun idea!!
More calla lilies, themes of all white, lots of color and cool textures were all represented this week.
Shout out to Nothing Bundt Cakes. A fresh flower topper for their cake.

OH MY GOODNESS!
My busiest wedding weekend this entire season with 5 weddings!
Let's just say everything needed to be meticulously timed from picking up flowers, processing and design to pull this off. Many thanks to my daughter, Natalie, and her friend Ashley for helping to get everything where it was supposed to be and perfectly on time.
The "IT" flower this year are white calla lilies, and are highly in demand. They hit a record high price these past few weeks, and I kid you not, I myself, as a business, spent $1000.00 on just those flowers for this past week. Totally unprecedented.

The next Oh My Goodness, is the rain. I felt so bad for all my brides, but particularly on Friday. It was truly a washout and we hadn't had that at all this year. Gotta roll with the punches in Minnesota.

Congratulations to an amazing group of women and their new husbands! Greer, Julia, Kristin, Kayla and Caitlyn!

Happy September everyone!
Goodness, I need a break from the heat and humidity.
Once again no outside flowers could be put out at my 3 weddings last Saturday. There is just no sense in getting them in place and then having them bake in the sun.
So I just have bouquets for you this week.

It was so humid the lenses on my phone kept fogging up!

For my hydrangea lover, Kayla, a dense style bouquet with butter yellow, carnations, white daisies and white roses.

A garden style for Stephanie. Her mom cried when she saw the bouquet. That type of reaction is priceless!

And for Annie, the burgundy dahlias totally took center stage.
I'm so grateful that you all chose me to be a part of your special days!

I got rather wet trying to get photos of the bouquets on Saturday! Thankfully the rain cleared and it turned into a great day.
Only one decor photo to share. It's still way too hot to put things outside when we are there much earlier in the day.
But this half moon arch at The Urban Daisy was a doozy to decorate!

I got so into my work this week I nearly forgot to post from last weekend.
We began at Hidden Greens in Hastings! A lime green and white theme for Darby & Greta with the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen in black. Really great contrast!
Then onto Little Log House Pioneer Village, also in Hastings, for Hailey and Ryan. VERY organic bouquet, corsages and boutonnière with the main flower being fresh lavender! A very different vibe than I usually do. Super cool!
Sunday brought us to The "Calhoun" Beach Club. This wedding was so special to me. This is the 3rd wedding I've done for this family. I did Esme's wedding many years ago and she has been one of my strongest supporter ever since. She brought me her daughter, and now her niece. Thank you so much Esme, you are a treasure! Congratulations to Nicole and Max!!

A Thursday wedding and 2 Saturday weddings last week!
Thursday was at Glenhaven Events in Farmington and I forgot to take a photo of the centerpieces. Sunflowers were everywhere.
Saturday #1 went to Brackett's Crossing with the extremely popular blue and white theme, but the bouquets were totally the wildflower look!!
Saturday #2 took me all over the place. Friday night rehearsal dinner at Lord Fletcher's, then Pique Travel and Events in Excelsior to begin set-up, then to the church in downtown Minneapolis, then back to Excelsior to finish! Dang that was a lot of driving!
