Additionally, our meeting dates for September will be Thursday the 10th and Thursday the 24th.

Just a reminder that the Alpine Quilt Show is this Saturday, August 1st. It will be held at the Alpine Community Center from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Hello Everyone,

Our next scheduled day at the Eagar Library is Thursday, July 23rd, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Looking ahead, our scheduled dates for August will be August 13th and August 27th.

Additionally, the Alpine Quilt Show has extended its entry deadline to July 25th. Please consider entering your quilts. They also need quilts for the bed turning event. The necessary forms can be downloaded from https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1NHBT2DB7QnUQkHH_sBg6uUkpdZfaDgES?usp=sharing

Next Saturday, July 25th, is the 2nd Annual Sewathon in Alpine, where you can sew, knit, or crochet for charity. Most supplies are provided, and there will be a potluck lunch. For more details, contact Jill at [email protected]. To RSVP, please email Beth at [email protected].

The Apache County Fair is coming up August 26th to 29th, and the fair books are now available. You can find them at local libraries and next to the Independent newspaper at Western Drug. There are many entry categories, including quilting, sewing, baking, gardening, and canning.

Hi Everyone,

Our upcoming meeting dates at the Eagar Library are July 9th and 23rd. The room is reserved for us from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please be sure to mark your calendars.

Additionally, the Alpine Quilt Show will be held on August 1st at the Alpine Community Center from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Entry forms must be submitted by July 17th.

You can download the Quilt Show entry form, the Bed-Turning entry form, and the Drop-off/Pick-up instruction form at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1NHBT2DB7QnUQkHH_sBg6uUkpdZfaDgES I encourage you all to consider entering your quilts. These forms will also be available when we meet at the library.

Hello Everyone,
I thought I would get this email out to remind everyone our library dates this month are the 18th and the 25th. I don't want anyone showing up and seeing the library closed! We meet at the Apache County library in Eagar from 10-4 on those dates.

Also, there are still openings in the Stunning Trapunto Wallhanging class presented by the Material Girls Quilt Guild in Winslow on the 24th & 25th of this month. This class is taught by Cinty Seitz-Krug. Her classes are amazing. Cindy teaches all over the country and at many major quilt shows. This is a great opportunity to get a class closer to home. The flyer for the class is attached.

Fely told me she got the quilts hung in the main room of the library. If you can't make it on our Thursday dates, please stop by to take a look.

Hello Everyone,
This Thursday, the 21st we get together at the library in Eagar from 10-4 Also, please note our dates in June will be the 18th and 25th.

Carol Farnsworth will be bringing some of Lisa Thompson's yarn and crochet threads that will be available for a donation to Lisa's family. (Lisa was our tatting queen who sadly passed away in December). Carol mentioned that there is also some wool sock yarn too. I'm pretty sure Lisa used the crochet threads in tatting but it also is great for big stitch quilting and can be used in sashiko. Be sure to stop by and check it out.

Cindy Seitz-Krug is teaching a 2 day trapunto by machine quilting class in Winslow on the 24 & 25th of June. I have attached the flyer for all of the information about the class. Cindy's classes are always awesome, if you want to take your quilting to the next level, this class is for you! Look through the photos for the front & back of Cindy's flyer.
