From Susan E:
Hello Everyone,
This Thursday, the 21st we get together at the library in Eagar from 10-4 Also, please note our dates in June will be the 18th and 25th.

Carol Farnsworth will be bringing some of Lisa Thompson's yarn and crochet threads that will be available for a donation to Lisa's family. (Lisa was our tatting queen who sadly passed away in December). Carol mentioned that there is also some wool sock yarn too. I'm pretty sure Lisa used the crochet threads in tatting but it also is great for big stitch quilting and can be used in sashiko. Be sure to stop by and check it out.

Cindy Seitz-Krug is teaching a 2 day trapunto by machine quilting class in Winslow on the 24 & 25th of June. I have attached the flyer for all of the information about the class. Cindy's classes are always awesome, if you want to take your quilting to the next level, this class is for you! Look through the photos for the front & back of Cindy's flyer.

Hope to see you Thursday, Susan

From Susan E:
Hello Everyone,
Reminder that this Thursday the 7th is our library day from 10-4 at the Apache County library in Eagar. Also our second date this month will be the 21st. Yes, this is a change because of some library scheduling conflicts. AND PLEASE NOTE, we have a change for June also. We will meet on the 18th and 25th. On our regular scheduled date on June 11th the library will be closed for parking lot repairs.
We have tried to consistently schedule the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month but sometimes the stars just don't align. We're going to get on the schedule early for next year so hopefully we won't have too many changes.
At our last meeting we had the Sashiko class. It was well attended and really fun and informative. Sue and Sandy will be having a repeat class in 2 or 3 months. This will be for anyone that missed or anyone that just wants a refresher. They will be starting a list so let them know if you are interested. I'm including a picture of my class sample so you can see what we did. This Thursday Sue will be bringing her samples and stencils for anyone interested.
Hope you can make it Thursday, Susan

Cindy Seitz-Krug will be teaching a two-day trapunto class in Winslow on June 24 & 25th.

Cindy says "The Winslow ladies would sure like some of our gals to come over and take the class. It’s a major bargain at only $100 for the two-day class. Would require a one-night stay at a hotel there."

From Susan E:
Hello Everyone,
This Thursday (4-23) is the Sashiko class at the library starting at 10:30. If you haven't signed up yet and are interested in taking the class and want a kit, please respond to this email and I'll get your name on the list. The room at the library is open to us from 10-4. There is plenty of room for anyone not taking the class to come and work on whatever you choose to do.

Please bring a quilt or two to display at the library. Quilts need to be dropped off to Fely before the 26th of April. They can take a quilt up to about 60-62". The quilts do not need to have a sleeve but do need to include a card with the maker's name and some detail about it. If you have a quilt you would like to sell, Fely has agreed to pass on any information to you, if there is an interest. I am also not sure how long the quilts would be displayed. If you have any questions, please discuss with Fely. This is not a quilt show but more of a quilt art display.

Also, reminder that the dates in May are changed to the 7th and the 21st.
Hope to see you Thursday, Susan

Our next Patchers meeting is tomorrow, Thursday the 26th, 10-4 at the Apache County library in Eagar. You can spend the whole day there with your fiber arts/crafts projects or as much time as you want. You can just stop by and say hi if you like!

This is a great place for people new to fiber arts to learn about quilting, crocheting/knitting, felting, and more! Just show up and ask and odds are someone there will be happy to chat with you about what you want to do.

Project Linus has a new 'Scrappy Sewing with Patty' fundraiser coming up. This was done last year and the quilt patterns we received were really great. The cost is $20.00 and the full amount goes to our local chapter. When you sign up, please remember to put Apache County Chapter down so we get the funds.

Fundraiser 2026 Registration Opens March 16, 2026 at https://www.projectlinus.org/scrappy.php There will be seven patterns in this fundraiser. One pattern will be available for download every two weeks starting on April 4th. Each pattern is designed to be beginner friendly and adaptable to various fabrics and scraps you have on hand. Cost: $20 donation to Project Linus. You may designate your local Project Linus chapter [Apache County Chapter] as the recipient when you register.

Join us on our Facebook group Project Linus Scrappy Sewing Fundraiser. Special Thank You to Jeanine Snyder, Coordinator of Kansas City Metro Area for designing these patterns for us.

Hello Everyone, I have lots of information to share with you.
This month our Library dates are Thursday March 12 and Thursday the 26th. The room is open to us from 10-4. Apache County library in Eagar.

We are really excited that Fely has gotten permission to do a quilt display at the library.. Quilts would need to be dropped off to Fely before the 26th of April. I am not certain what size would be best to show/hang there. Maybe this could be discussed at our next Library day. The quilts do not need to have a sleeve but do need to include a card with the maker's name and some detail about it. If you have a quilt you would like to sell, Fely has agreed to pass on any information to you , if there is an interest. I am also not sure how long the quilts would be displayed. Happy sewing and crafting, Susan

Last Patchers meeting on Feb. 12 Nora and Kim got quite a few people started on the Garden Play quilt pattern. Nora still has 3 patterns left for sale and she also has some of the supplies needed for the quilt available. Nora and Kim added more detailed instructions to the pattern also to make constructing it a little easier for us.

Next Patchers meeting is Thursday Feb 26, 10-4.
