This was my Facebook post 7 years ago. I love that when we quilt we don’t just make a quilt we sew in memories with each quilt. Memories of why we made the quilt, memories of what was going on in our life during the time we made the quilt and memories of why we picked certain patterns and certain fabrics. The many hours that go into a quilt are a big part of what makes quilting so great. The time to think and meditate or listen to a good book feeds my soul. Happy Monday everyone!

A few months after having this twins I realized that the only way that I was going to get through newborn twins was to do something that made me happy. I knew that I wasn't going to have the brain power or time to match a bunch of fabrics and heaven knows I didn't have the time or energy to go fabric shopping so I went simple. Ordered fabric online and started quilting again I call this Quilt "Stollen Moments of Sanity" while I have finished a Halloween Quilt, made a Fall quilt, a Christmas quilt and I'm almost done with my first Pinwheel quilt top I just finished binding this one tonight and it has made me so happy!! It's so important as Moms that we take time to do the things that make us happy. Happy Moms = Happy Kids. I know that I have been able to enjoy these sweet boys so much more because of the "stollen moments" during nap times and bedtimes. 😊

Today was a very busy but really great Saturday. It started super early with basketball games for my youngest three and then my daughter and I ran errands all day. When I came home I came home to happy mail. My Riley Blake Precuts of Hibiscus and Daybreak were on my doorstep🤗🥳 and the binding for my Gingham Gardens Quilt was here!🥳🥳 I love this fabric! The Hibiscus line has alpacas in it! I LOVE Alpacas! They are the cutest!! And I love the cute bees 🐝 the butterflies and the lemons 🍋 in the daybreak line. Check out more pictures in the links. And the last picture is because my daughter and I went to shopping to decorate her room and she found the cutest stuff! I can’t wait to see it when it’s all done. She has a great taste!!
