I don't usually do flowers, but really enjoyed this one.

For those of you who voted on a name for this piece. I named it "Friendship" followed closely by "Sisterhood"

Sometimes I'm just not vibe'n with the first iteration of a painting. Thoughts?

This painting is called The Protector and is going home with one of the most giving people I know. Tammy runs the coffee shop (The Portico) (Earth City Campus). She never forgets a birthday or Christmas gifts for EVERY volunteer. If you're looking for kind, friendly people to spend Easter with, stop by.

Hi everyone!

I’m currently looking for a larger studio/gallery space to lease or sublease in the St. Louis area. Ideally, it would allow for:
• Painting + sculpting
• Hosting small workshops or classes
• Occasional open studio/gallery-style events

If you know of any available spaces—or someone looking to share/sublease—I’d really appreciate the connection!

Thanks in advance!

I’m putting the finishing touches on this piece, and I’m stuck.

This painting feels like shared shelter.
Like walking through uncertainty with someone who knows your pace.
Quiet companionship. Presence. Trust.

But titles matter. They shape how a story is held.

If you’d like to help, take a moment with the image and tell me:
✨ What would you name this piece?

Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts—I truly love hearing how others experience the work. 🤍

*We don’t stop the rain, we walk through it together.*

This painting is dedicated to those who do the work of building friendships.

I am so grateful for the amazing people I call friends. Some have been friends for months, some for years, and some for decades.

I remember when I was young, I longed for deep friendships, but for various reasons my friends were curated by others...parents…ex-husbands... etc.

Once I was living on my own, I learned how to nurture and build deep friendships that weathered storms, and made life's load easier to carry, and to do the work of being that kind of friend to others.

I would be hard pressed to find many things I treasure more than my friends.
These are the things I've been contemplating while painting this piece.

One thing about navigating relationships with people over decades is we all have opinions, beliefs and feelings that can be bruised by words, actions, and neglect. Long lasting friends have the resilience and the vulnerability to weather the storms.

Choosing to love through the differences and difficulties builds depth and layers that adds value and growth to us as individuals and to the relationships we share.

I am grateful for friends who listen when I'm hurting, who are gentle when I'm vulnerable, who show up when times are hard, and who would rather be kind than right.

Thoughts?.......

I love how beautiful the Christmas decorations look from a distance, but I find it hilarious every year to see my "misfit toys" so to speak.
The one armed hula cow is my favorite, then the one armed ballerina, and the one footed nutcracker.
The funny thing is I don't think the hula cow ever had two arms. But she's my favorite ornament of all.
I know it's trendy to make perfect with well executed ribbons and matching ornaments, but that just doesn't tell the same story. When I look at my tree, I see all the vacations from which we collected ornaments, and memories of special gifts from milestone events...birth, graduations, etc. and a few ornaments from people who have past. I see the story of life, memories, and family.
What does your tree and decorations say about your life?
