I didn’t know when this photo was taken how accurately it would describe the next two weeks.
Still standing. Still handling what was in front of me. Quietly wondering how I was going to keep up with all of it.
Everything after this photo is work I made while telling myself I wasn’t doing enough.
Today, while putting this post together, I realized I had an Etsy order sitting two days overdue. I had no idea.
That scared me more than I want to admit.
The last few days have been a blur of missed timing, overnight delays to California I couldn’t control, confusion I was still responsible for smoothing over, accepting projects I wanted to say no to, and trying to make things perfect while already running on empty.
Some of it was mine to own. Some of it wasn’t. But all of it is still mine to carry.
I’ve been leaving my job and coming home to another one for weeks. Late nights, very little sleep, getting up early to catch up to the next thing before going to work.
Tonight, there’s still more waiting. Tomorrow morning, it will be the same.
And no matter how much I finish, my mind stays fixed on everything I haven’t gotten to yet.
Lately, I’ve started wondering if I’m actually capable of keeping up with what I’ve built.
But looking through these photos, I realized I’ve been confusing capacity with capability.
I’m not incapable. But I can’t keep asking this much of myself and pretending it’s sustainable.
I’m proud of this work. I’m proud that people trust me to make things that matter to them. But I’m tired. I’m behind. And I don’t want to keep pretending I’ve got everything under control.
