My Shelf Guy Woodworking products for the home and scale model hobbyist. Husband, Dad, Grandpa and oh yeah woodworker too. I love my time in the shop and have been blessed.

I started woodworking in the mid 1980’s building small items for a craft store and remodeling a house. Over the course of my careers, and I have had several, I have always tried to give the customer great quality at a fair price. I started this business in 2006 to make shelves for scale model paint. I have since added several items to my portfolio and will be adding more. I try to make my product

descriptions as accurate as possible but if you have suggests that you think would help just let me know. My experience ranges from small craft items to large furniture pieces both as an amateur and professional. Living in South Carolina gives me access to a great supply of a variety of materials. Many of these from local saw mills and home owned mills many times from recycled or salvaged sustainable sources.

These are simple white pine, clean and light. I treated them with tung oil and beeswax to darken them without staining. The shelves themselves are cut and fit with wood glue; the only screws hold on the removable back. I took the back off and painted it to match my wall. I ordered two on two separate days and he shipped them together. I probably get more from him at some point.
