Hello everyone not a typical post but since there are some new followers I thought I would introduce my self properly. ✨🧇
Hi, my name is Greenlee, and I'm the proud owner of What a Waffle! My business officially launched in July of 2026, fueled by a passion I developed after completing my culinary, restaurant management, and baking and pastry studies in 2024 at Carver Career Center.
As you can see in the photo, I'm a graduate of George Washington High School (Go GeeDub!), where I earned my diploma in 2025. Currently, I'm a sophomore at West Virginia State University, taking 18 credit hours this semester towards a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. Having always lived in the eastern Kanawha Valley, I'm very aware of how our community can sometimes feel overlooked, especially when it comes to sports and education. My hope is to become the kind of teacher I always wished I had.
So, how did I come up with the idea for waffles on a stick? My family and I visited Cleveland in December of 2025. I was eager to try the viral fruit pasties, and the only place that had them also offered waffles on a stick. My mind absolutely exploded with excitement and ideas when I walked in, I truly felt like a kid in a candy store!🍬🍭
When I came home, I figured someone in West Virginia would surely have a similar waffle on a stick. Oh, boy, was I wrong! I craved a waffle on a stick for months. Occasionally, I'd make regular waffles at home and try to design them creatively. But eventually, I was over the regular waffles and wanted exactly what I had craved. That's when I decided to start the first mobile pop up waffle stick business in West Virginia, wanting to share my creation just as I always have. I truly want each waffle to be something just as fun and exciting for you as it was for me. What I've created to share with each and every one of you is so sweet and delicious, and made special with love, with every drizzle and topping added.
Personally, I believe What-a Waffle, waffle sticks are definitely worth having as a quick, sweet treat. 🧇💜💛
