2 fabulous Art books
“Persian Painting” by British museum curator, Basil Gray
Published in 1961 by Skira, one of the most respected art book publishers of the 20th century. It contains 80 full color reproductions.

The next is “Japan: A History in Art”, by Bradley Smith
It contains museum, quality photography, and as a first printing from 1964, a fabulous find.
It’s a stunning display book for collectors, decorators, and lovers of Asian art.

Vintage original artist studio pottery signed on the bottom with “KM 12/11/71”

5” diameter vintage trinket dish by Cleveland China 1920’s-1940’s.

Right in your own backyard!
What a perfect day to skip on over to Papa Al’s Attic in The Market Place East Durham (right on route 145).
The marketplace boasts over 150 vendors and showcases vintage and antique furniture, clothing, glassware, instruments, beautiful jewelry, collectibles, and so much more. There’s even a space as you enter featuring garden and outdoor items.
Here are just a few items in my booth, named for my dear late father.

Closed tomorrow for Father’s Day but open every day, except for Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The marketplace has something for everyone in every price range!
Make a day of it. Choose one of the many eateries in Greene County for a fabulous breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
I’m vendor 199 but plan on a loooong time to browse the entire marketplace.

I love this vintage toddler chair in the folk art tradition.
Of course you can use it as a toddler chair but I visualize it used to showcase an antique doll or to hold a plant in a beautiful ceramic pot.
The cane seat is in perfect condition.

Added some nice pieces to Papa Al’s Attic vendor 199 today in The Market Place East Durham .
New today, an antique gesso-decorated Italian Florentine trinket box and pottery pieces from Kenya. Also, a really nice decorative brass pineapple.
