ASID Cornell Student Chapter Bringing together Cornell students who are interested in learning about and have a passion for design.

The American Society of Interior Designers is the largest and leading professional organization for interior designers. It strives to advance the interior design profession through knowledge sharing, community building and outreach to its more than 24,000 members and 48 chapters. The Cornell Chapter of ASID promotes these goals by organizing events that anyone pursuing a career in design can benef

it from. These events include guest lectures, portfolio and resume reviews and workshops. This semester we are hosting a Materials Fair to introduce students to the most up-to-date materials and products, co-hosting bi-weekly Lunch and Learn's featuring guest product manufacturers, and introducing a new student mentorship program. Meetings occur every two weeks on Wednesday at 4.45 in MVR 4231 (Senior Studio). We are open to all DEA majors and students with an interest in design.

Hey ASID!

DEA seniors, Ethan Arnowitz and Kendra Hayes, are currently finalists in this years Herman Miller Video Competition, but they need your help to win! PURSUIT 2015 IS HERE! Come join us TONIGHT in MVR 4301at 7PM to listen to major firms give presentations about their company, potential internships/jobs, and about the design industry.

Tomorrow reps from these firms will also be attending a Meet and Greet at 9AM in the Human Ecology Commons. Come chat with alumni and professionals-- these events are open to all design-interested students!

Today is our first Mentor/Mentee Meet & Greet! Come and get to know fellow DEA students from all grades and learn more about the Mentor/Mentee program we are launching this year! Cookies will be provided, and the meeting will be held in MVR 4301 (Sophomore studio) from 4:45-5:30pm.
