Are you an actual book reader? I recently started reading again, so I made something entirely new and functional. It’s used to hold open a book with one hand. Each thumb hole is slightly different sized, so they are best “tried on” or we’d have to do some math.

$7 each. They’re made with clay and have been well sealed for added durability. See them in person at the Spring Fling at Rogers Spring Hill Garden and Farm Center on Saturday!

Seed Bombs are back! Perfect timing for spring sowing and little gifts. What are they? What do you do with them? Welp, the short story is that you plant them and flowers grow! The longer version is that they are made from recycled paper scraps and pollinator flower seeds, molded and dried into shapes. My version is shaped: flowers, lips, bunnies, or people for $4/set or 3/$10. Colors vary from batch to batch. Seeds are wildflowers and contain annuals and perennials. They come with instructions!

Find me at Café Sarina for a quick pop-up, next Saturday from 11-1pm. I have a few soy candles in the fragrance Love Spell. Cactus ones are perfect for “Lookin Sharp” or “Stuck on You” sentiments while the set of Gnomes is great for “Thanks for being my Gnomie” or “I love you gnome matter what.”

Did you shop a local, handmade market over the weekend? There were tons of them! 8 days of handmade gifting and we’re talking about original watercolor art bookmarks. They come laminated and include a tassel. So many options from which to choose for $6 each or 3/$15.

It’s been a week of handmade gifting! Today, it’s about creamed honey. As backyard beekeepers, we’re constantly learning about honey and keeping our bees. This year we’re offering creamed honey: it’s not whipped, it’s processed to become a spreadable, micro crystallized honey. It’s still pure honey, unheated, and delicious!

On the 6th day of handmade gifting, we have flame free scent. Reed diffusers are a pretty way to scent your home and they’re adjustable for your preferred level of scent. Red Berry Balsam and Clean Cotton available.

On the 5th day of handmade gifting, we’re sticking with clean: Foaming Sugar Scrub. It’s an exfoliating soap that’s great for gardeners or artists to get all the dirt off gently. Peppermint and Candy Apple available.

Keep it clean on Day 4 of shopping local and handmade! Being a backyard beekeeper, we have a great supply of honey and beeswax this year. Honey soap, a recipe with both honey and beeswax in it, is unscented and made with natural ingredients. One shaped soap set (comes with lip balm) and only a dozen bars of soap left! Set is $15 and each bar is $7.

On the 3rd day of shopping local, alpine resin boards and serving trays are highlighted. These double poured, hand painted wood boards make a great gift and look beautiful on display. I also have a few “ocean” options available. They are all treated with a food safe oil treatment and some come with a serving utensil. All resin should avoid direct cutting to prevent scratching and there’s some debate on food safe contact. There’s plenty of space on my boards for serving food and enjoying the art. Prices vary widely based on size and wood species.

Day 2 of 24 Days of Shopping is about watercolor art. I started my watercolor journey last year and decided that I enjoy painting birds and bookmarks. Here’s a selection of both. Bookmarks are $6 each or 3/$18 and all of my framed art is presented in thrifted frames and range from $15-$30 depending on size. All of these are currently available!

First up, any good gift can start with a basket! These rope baskets vary in size and function. The floppy and small ones are perfect for small catch-alls and trinkets on your bedside table. The long one is meant for bread, but could be a great display for several smaller items. The tall, stiffer bowls are great for fruit. There’s even a special Santa version that could display those favorite ornaments!

Teeny, tiny watercolor notecard sets of 5. Each has a different saying. Which one is your favorite? I love the wreaths.

They come with kraft envelopes and are perfect for gift giving, will fit a gift card, or dropping a little note. Original art goes well in a tiny frame after! You will have to put them into a larger envelope for mailing.
