Acolyte’s latest channel extrusions include three Simply Clean mud-in options that create seamless cove lighting. SC23 (shown here) creates a surface mounted cove with a smooth built-in finish. SC38C creates a deep, hidden recessed cove with an angled throw of light. And SC10 fixtures can create a recessed fixture with just one fl**ge for mounting in tight spaces.

The video is pretty cool, too!

Our great partners at SLS have programmed all types of color changing light shows with Acolyte's RGBW Series 2 RibbonLyte fixtures at Singh Tower in Jersey City, NJ. The 420-ft V-shaped "zipper" adorning the facade delivers brilliant light through custom Acolyte channel extrusions, and our LEDs were embedded directly below thin glass balustrades on the cantilevered balconies to create incredible effects. We've sped it up, but the dramatic facade will slowly morph from scene to scene with different lighting available for every night of the week.

Congratulations to GN Management, MVMK Architecture, Facility Solutions Group and SLS on a job well done!

Four of Acolyte's new channel extrusions offer set-back lenses for enhanced glare reduction. Instead of a diffuser lens that sits flush to the extrusion, the lens is recessed deep inside an angled inset. This extra depth prevents any harsh side views. The surface mounted channel (AS24R) and recessed channel (AR24R) both offer Milky, Black, Clear or Frosted lenses. There are two new set-back Simply Clean mud-in fixtures as well. The first (SC24R) features a Milky lens with dual fl**ges, while the second (SC20C) fits 90° corners like ceiling or wall joints. It's easy to build custom fixtures with Acolyte channels and our proprietary RibbonLyte, which is now available in IP69!

Singh Tower may be our favorite new building! The mixed-use high-rise developed by GN Management is comprised of 202 residences plus ground-floor retail and 16,000 sq ft of office space in the heart of Journal Square in Jersey City, New Jersey. Inside, it's slated for luxury amenities like a fitness center, yoga room, game room, bowling alley, golf simulator, podcast studio, and rooftop deck and lounge.

But the outside is what has us excited!

The MVMK Architecture design features cantilevered balconies inside a massive signature V, a playful addition to Jersey City’s skyline that's visible from Manhattan. The best part? Both the alternating balconies and the bold V are illuminated with color-changing RGBW Series 2 RibbonLyte from Acolyte.

For this challenging project, the powerhouse team at Facility Solutions Group asked Acolyte to develop a custom channel that creates a halo effect in long, decorative lines of light. Our solution? A unique bracket-shaped extrusion that features two rows of RibbonLyte aimed at the back of the channel. Now that channel delivers more than 420 feet of unbroken illumination across 21 floors of the 27-story tower. RGBW Series 2 RibbonLyte is also embedded below glass balustrades at the edge of each balcony. Light travels vertically through Singh Tower's slender handrails to manifest breathtaking textured patterns high above the city. Everything was specified through Acolyte’s great partners at SLS, who programmed several creative colorful scenes. And everyone is singing the praises of Jersey City’s newest high-rise!

Say goodbye to glare! Acolyte has introduced an amazing array of new aluminum channels, including several extrusions that feature sleek louver options for glare reduction. Choose from Grille or Honeycomb louver insets that guide light straight down but block off-axis light that can cause glare from the sides. These channels include a small surface mounted channel (AS15L), a recessed channel (AR15L), a recessed angled channel (AR15AL), a corner channel (AC15L) and a small Simply Clean channel (SC15L) for mud-in installation. A pair of larger surface mounted (AS29L) and recessed (AR29L) channels feature a Milky lens or 20° Grazer lens as well as the louver options. Pair any of these channels with our proprietary RibbonLyte to create complete custom fixtures, including our new IP69 RibbonLyte!

We’ve just launched an amazing array of new channel extrusions -- and a major advance in our RibbonLyte waterproofing!

Acolyte has added 20 new channel options, many with extra glare reduction features like grille and honeycomb louvers, built-in glare shields and set-back lenses. There are six exciting new Simply Clean (mud-in) channels for seamless, flush presentation in drywall and ceiling applications, and a unique pair of channels with multiple connection options that don’t require tricky miter cuts.

Acolyte has also developed waterproofing technology that brings our RibbonLyte to the top of the ingress protection scale! Our new IP69 RibbonLyte uses high-grade UV-resistant polyurethane to create a clear, slender profile that adds just 2.5 mm thickness to our IP20 RibbonLyte. The result? IP69 RibbonLyte:
