Big day today! We finally signed all the papers. It's official, Bluett Bros. Violins is now Fisher Violins and String Instruments. Master Luthier Mark Bluett will still be in the shop for the next year ensuring a smooth transition. Thanks to all those who have supported Bluett Bros over the years. We hope to see you in the shop soon!
The shop will be closed September 6th through September 13th. For the remainder of the month, we will be open by appointment only. Mark will be holding down the fort while we make the move to York County and get settled in at the shop. You can call 717-825-4263 for an appointment. We will schedule a full reopening date in October. Stay tuned!

Antique steamer trunk restoration. These pieces weren't designed to be taken apart and restored, they're basically a crate covered in sheet metal. There's no joinery, it's built with clench nails, which don't let go. This was a customer's family heirloom, so it was nice to be able to bring it back to life.
