What’s the difference between the two pics? 😁
Not the sexiest post as it’s still just a frame, but it’s coming along nicely. I don’t have space for multiple cabinets as well as a CRT for console gaming, so the goal is to create an awesome all-in-one cabinet I can use for arcade PCBs as well as console gaming. Every orientation and angle, along with a detachable front for arcade stick.
We’ve built a wooden box to use as a stand-in for the 32” Sony PVM and you can see it housed inside the cage already in this pic for testing. The original plan was to build everything using wood, but ultimately chose steel as it keeps the overall frame more compact to later build an Arcade cabinet around. The cage is attached to an engine mount which allows me to rotate the display easily in either orientation. 👍🏻 Upcoming items on the to-do list:
1. Adjustable height
2. Actuators for tilt adjustment in both orientations
3. Rear handle to spin and clamp
4. Interior liner and clamp mechanism to keep the display snug and scratch free
Stay tuned for future updates where we test fit the actual PVM and see this baby in action! 🔥
