Batteries, pencils, notebooks, tape, scissors, random chargers… somehow it becomes the home for everything that doesn’t have a home.

After decluttering and creating a spot for each category, this cabinet can actually become one of the most useful spaces in your home!

But here’s the secret to keeping it that way:

✨ Organization is maintained through routines—not constant deep cleaning.

Take a few minutes each day to put things back where they belong. And involve the whole family! When everyone knows where things go—and helps put them away—it’s much easier to keep your home organized long-term.

The goal isn’t a perfectly organized home. It’s a home that’s easy to maintain. 🏡💛

When there’s simply more than your space can comfortably hold, adding bins and containers isn’t the answer. The first step is to edit what you have and make room for the things you actually use and love.

Then, look for those hidden spaces that can work harder for you! 👏

One of my favorites? The backside of a cabinet door. It’s perfect for storing the items you reach for most often—think measuring spoons, pot lids, cleaning supplies, or even everyday kitchen tools.

👕 Closets should work for kids, too! 🧢👟

I recently reorganized the closets of two young boys, and the goal wasn’t just to make everything look neat—it was to make their closets more functional for them as kids.

We created easy-to-reach spaces for the things they use every day, simplified their clothing choices, and made it easier for them to see, grab, and put away their own belongings. And, OF COURSE, there is a bin for items they wish to donate -- instead of them trying them on and throwing them into the dirty laundry basket to take a ride through the cycle again!

Because when a space is designed with kids in mind, they can actually use the system independently. 🙌

✨ Less digging through piles
✨ Easier mornings
✨ More independence
✨ A home that works better for the whole family

Organization doesn’t have to mean making everything picture-perfect. Sometimes, it’s simply about creating a system that makes everyday life easier for the people who live there. 💙

Before they broke ground on their beautiful new home, I had the pleasure of helping this wonderful couple carefully pack up their entire kitchen. 🏠📦

Once their home was featured in the 2027 Parade of Homes, I returned to unpack, organize, and put everything away in their new space. 🤩 Instead of spending days surrounded by boxes, they were able to settle in quickly and get back to enjoying their new home and everyday life.

It has been forever since I’ve posted some before and after photos! I’ve been really busy, but I’ll take that as a blessing! ❤️

Check out this storage area for a business I helped out this summer. ☀️ A messy storage space led to employees unable to find the inventory they needed, so they would just order more. From now on, things will be easier to locate and put away—leading to time and money savings!
