I'm begging you to own less stuff.

Not as little as possible. Not living out of a backpack. Not getting rid of things you actually love.

I mean getting rid of everything that's costing you time energy and mental space without giving anything back.

Every single thing you own takes up space in your mind. The closet stuffed with clothes you never wear is guilt. The garage full of boxes you haven't opened in two years is stress. The drawer full of random junk is a tiny tax you pay every single time you see it.

When I started decluttering I noticed something strange.

I wasn't just clearing my house. I was clearing my head.

Every bag I donated felt like a weight off my shoulders. I was sleeping better. Thinking clearer. Actually enjoying my home again.

I realized clutter isn't just a space problem. It's a mental tax you pay every single day.

Here's what I know after years of doing this:

The less I have the less I have to clean maintain think about and stress over. I wear all black. Same socks same brand. I use the snooze rule — if I'm unsure about something I put it in a box for 3 to 6 months. If I never open it I donate the whole thing without looking inside.

I sold our hot tub. It cost money took time to maintain and we barely used it. Never think about it.

I removed games from my phone. I know I can't control myself with them so they don't live there.

Every time I've gotten rid of something I thought I needed I've never missed it.

The stuff we own ends up owning us. And most of it isn't making us any happier.

You can have freedom or you can have options. It's really hard to have both.

You can’t get magically organized by buying the “right” bins.

I know it’s tempting — clear containers, matching baskets, beautiful labels… it feels like the solution. But here’s the truth: no amount of bins will fix clutter if there’s simply too much stuff.

Bins don’t create organization — they just contain what you already own.

Real organization starts with letting go.

Less stuff means:
• Less to manage
• Less to clean
• Less to maintain
• And way more space to actually breathe in your home

So before you buy another container, ask yourself:
“Do I even need to keep all of this?”

Decluttering first. Organizing second. Always. ✨
