When someone asks me why I chose to have a booth at a store 45 minutes from where I live, I always say it’s because I love Blue Octopus Antiques&Artisans and some of my favorite people are here. It just feels good to be in the store.

If you’re looking for something relaxing and fun to do, come spend a few hours here. You’ll understand as soon as you walk in why I love this store so much.

A few things added at Blue Octopus Antiques&Artisans this past week. You’ll find them in Booth 11.

My Studio space will hopefully be ready in the next few weeks. You’ll be able to create your own home decor in whatever style fits you. You’ll also be able to bring in items from home. I can help you with ideas or bring an inspiration pic and I’ll show you how to recreate it.

Antique 3 drawer dresser just hit the floor at Blue Octopus Antiques&Artisans! I used Country Chic Rocky Mountain and Wise Owl CSP in Snow Owl. It has a textured finish and was sealed using clear and gray wax. The top was sealed with a clear enamel before using wax.

Sneak Peek‼️

I’m currently finishing the top coats of a 3 drawer antique dresser. I really love this little dresser and wish I knew its full history. It has gone from being used as a tool box in a basement to now being center stage of any room. I made repairs but kept the wear and tear because it shows the history of what it’s been through.

I can’t wait to see what it looks like when the drawers are put back in with their new hardware. 🥰

It’s being painted at Blue Octopus Antiques&Artisans so it will be on the floor as soon as it’s ready!

Just hit the floor this evening! This little nightstand is painted with Wise Owl’s One Hour Enamel in Overland Green and sealed using Wise Owl’s Matte Varnish. The insides of the drawers have been conditioned using Wise Owl’s Furniture Salve in the scent Teakwood & Amber.

My new studio and classroom will be in a private room located in the back of Shop 95! Eventually, Shop 95 will also be home to all of my paints and supplies. I hope to have everything ready in a couple of months!

What you can expect from this new space:

🎨 Open hours where you can paint a project off of the shelves or bring one of your own from home.

🕰️ Scheduled classes teaching furniture painting, decoupage, transfers, metallic leafing, molds with air dry clay or resin, stencils, stamps, and much more!

🫟 Ability to schedule your own paint party for a get together or to celebrate a special occasion.

🪑Have furniture you’ve purchased in store painted or refinished.

Come eat at the food trucks, listen to Christmas Carolers, browse our humongous store full of Christmas decor, and get your picture taken. You’re going to feel like you’re in a Hallmark Christmas movie without having to save the Christmas Tree 🌲 Farm from shutting down.
