In 1969, Bob and Pat Lawson took a risk and bought $500 worth of wedding equipment. They had no idea at that time the impact that decision would make in their lives and the lives of their future customers, many of whom became long time friends. Flash forward 53 years later and Pat had become the matriarch of weddings in OKC. She has always believed that customer support is more important than profit. She has been with the best of times and the worst of times with her customers. From supporting and being a part of weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, life and death, she has never wavered in her goal of providing incredible support. When the world was stunned on April 19, 1995, she called radio stations and said “I’ve got ribbons, come get them” and at that moment and thousands of ribbons later, she became part of the healing. She has been a pillar of class, sophistication, a little crazy but to people who know her, know the crazy has to happen and all is done with love from her whole heart to all those who she has been a part of their experiences with. We have seen multiple generations get married, start families and trust Pat to make the best of the best for all the occasions in between. It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that the shop is closing. We are thankful for our family that supported us and trusted us to help them through the years. We love you. To quote Pat’s favorite movie, The Sound of Music, “So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye” and with this, we take our final curtain call. Thank you for 53 amazing years!
