Cabinetry Anatomy 101: Let’s talk drawers. 👀 Today, we’re taking a closer look at one of the hardest working parts of your cabinetry and breaking down what to look for when comparing drawer systems. From the material and thickness of the drawer box to the drawer guides, full extension, soft close, weight capacity, and dovetail joinery, every detail plays a role in the quality and longevity of your drawers.

We’re also taking a closer look at dovetail joinery and why simply seeing “dovetail drawers” on a specification sheet doesn’t automatically mean you’re getting a high quality drawer box. Precise cuts, tight joints, smooth finishes, and proper construction are what make the difference.
