Home Oasis Interiors We provide home staging services, as well space planning and interior design consultation. Hi! I’m Eeling, founder and lead designer of Home Oasis Interiors.

I’ve always had a passion for interior design and architecture - sketching floor plans and dreaming up interiors since my early years. After a long stint in the corporate world, I found myself longing to reexplore my creative side, and took a leap of faith to start pursuing interior design and decorating in 2022. At Home Oasis Interiors, we offer vacant or partial home staging, space planning and

design/remodeling consultation in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Our goal is to help our clients create interior residential spaces that are warm, welcoming and practical at the same time. Our design ideas build on the principles of relaxed elegance, comfort and sustainability. We incorporate design inspirations from all over the world and are avid proponents of upcycled/vintage furniture and timeless decor.

I had lofty plans to be like this busy hummingbird this New Year, wrapping up back-end work and getting ready for 2026 but the flu virus had other plans. Spent the last few days bundled up listening to the pitter patter of the rain outside instead. Sometimes, it’s better to lay low, recharge and reset for all the adventures the next year will bring. I’m told (by AI) that hummingbirds symbolize joy, love, resilience, and healing, representing life’s sweetness, positive energy, and spiritual renewal. So, here’s wishing everyone a Hummingbird New Year!

We are getting into the holiday spirit early with a Give-Back-to-the-Community.

Sign up for a project with Home Oasis Interiors between now and December 31, 2025 (including projects scheduled for January 2026), and we will pledge 5% of our fees to the Richmond Emergency Food Pantry (http://www.refp.org/) or any non-religious 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of your choice.

We feel very fortunate to be able to give back during this period of economic uncertainties, and chose REFP as our preferred non-profit because it serves 40,000 people in our local community and is 100% volunteer run.

All of this would not be possible without the support and partnership from family, friends and the community around us.

We went all-in with a coastal theme for this lovely waterfront property (aside from the cactus lamp which was so interesting we couldn’t help but ask the homeowners to let us use for the staging).

Some homes have unconventional spaces that sometimes seem like wasted square footage. The goal of our staging is to give these spaces purpose and showcase their functionality. A few examples we’ve done: 1) An upstairs landing with a low pitched ceiling and porthole window became the perfect spot for a kids play area. 2) We turned a long and narrow alcove into a hobby/ game room for low-key social gatherings. 3) A garage with carriage doors to the backyard made a wonderful family room for indoor-outdoor living. 4) A light filled nook was presented as an office/study. 5) My personal favorite - we converted a windowless storage room into a fun speakeasy. 6) A very small room (7ft x 5ft) was the perfect office den.

One of our favorite living space glow-ups this year. Transformed what felt like an original hunting cabin (with stone walls, fireplace, parquet floors and dim lighting) into an airy and modern living room. Loved how the modular sofa grounded and wrapped around the spacious room.

The dining room on the other hand, was bright and airy but had an unconventional layout. We tucked a buffet/sidebaord cabinet under the stairs to maximize the usability of the space.

A nod to K-drama fans out there, when life gives you tangerines 🍊, complement it with gold accents.

This home had several bold and unique wall murals. We carried the themes across the rooms with complementary decor e.g. gold accents, botanical artwork, carved wood console etc. The goal was to help home buyers see the potential of these murals, rather than be confused or turned away by them. The 'Cave Makeover Challenge

This home gave 'cave' vibes when we first walked in. Plantation shutters filtered out natural light, the walls and carpets were brown, there was an accent wall covered entirely in dark stacked stone, the lights were dim, and the kitchen had mahogany cabinets and black countertops. On their own, each finish is nice, but when combined together, made the house seem dark and closed in.

We transformed it into a warm and inviting home using furniture and accessories in light neutral colors (mostly beige and white), and area rugs in every room to break up the sea of brown carpet.

To further brighten up the home, we advised the homeowner and realtor to replace the recessed lights with brighter light bulbs, and to project a scenic screen saver image on the large screen TV during open houses.

Mission accomplished! The home sold above asking within a week, and I'd want to think our staging helped a little :)
