With El Dorado's special election approaching on November 3, questions about data centers, infrastructure, and the City's proposed ordinance are an important part of our community conversation.
El Dorado Forward is hosting a FREE community event featuring Heath Jeppson, author of The Cloud Has Hit the Ground and The Death of a Banana Republic.
Heath will deliver a 45-minute keynote presentation about data centers and the broader questions surrounding their development.
Following the presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to continue the conversation, ask questions, and speak directly with Heath. Members of El Dorado Forward will also be available for discussion.
THIS EVENT IS FOR EVERYONE.
Whether you're supportive of data centers, opposed to them, undecided, or simply interested in learning more, you're welcome to attend.
You don't have to agree with El Dorado Forward to participate.
We welcome questions, different perspectives, and respectful conversation.

WHY THIS CONVERSATION MATTERS
On November 3, El Dorado voters will consider a proposed ordinance addressing certain data centers and battery energy storage systems.
The decision involves questions about infrastructure, water and electricity requirements, development oversight, and the future of local regulation.
This event is an opportunity to learn more about those issues, hear from a guest speaker, and ask questions before the special election.
